Re: RbyR: David Haye vs Tony Bellew - Thoughts and Predictions

The ever reliable Sun newspaper claiming that Haye is injured (achilles) as he's been photographed with doctors in Munich. Haye has a broad smile in the photo - mind games and probably due to Bellew's reference that Haye keeps going to Germany for roids.

It's Haye's public work-out at 6pm tonight.

I'm sure it's just a rumor started by Haye - so he has a ready excuse if Bellew somehow manages to beat him.

Re: RbyR: David Haye vs Tony Bellew - Thoughts and Predictions

This is one of those fights where i want to see one of them sparked out and the winner tripping up getting out of the ring and knocking himself out when he hits the floor, can't stand Haye for the way he's wasted his best years playing the z list celebrity reality tv circuit, joke fights and now training on a yacht in Miami wtf?

Bellew playing the angry scouser is just annoying although i did like the fish eyes comment but only because i hate Warren probably more than anyone in boxing.

If Haye is fit then he'll leave Bellew in a crumpled mess on the floor in the 2nd round

Introduction by Lee Skavydis

Egos will collide when former heavyweight champion and current cruiserweight titleholder Tony Bellew fight on March 4th at the 02 arena in London next year. The fight will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Pay Per View.

There is speculation that Shannon Briggs was originally going to face Haye in September earlier this year although things suddenly went quiet on that front. The Londoner and Liverpudlian have some history together, although, however much of it is true is up for debate. Bellew claimed that he got the best of Haye in the gym when he was still only an amateur while Haye was contesting for the British professional title.

Furthermore, he has also criticised Haye’s current training techniques, claiming his body frame does not look “right” for a boxer, as well as his olden situations with Wladimir Klitschko and his former plan to fight Briggs. But Haye seems to be taking it all in his stride.

“It is like a chihuahua fighting a pitbull,” Haye has been quoted as saying.

Re: RbyR: David Haye vs Tony Bellew - Thoughts and Predictions

Haye wins fast inside 2 rounds hits far to hard for bellew. if stevenson can stop him what you think haye will do to him Bellew bigger but chin still the same

Bellew is surely just in this for the money, and a way to avoid facing the top CW's for a while longer. So, he'll probably take a dive, or just stay down, after the first meaningful punch Haye throws.

Unless, of course, the fix is in. - But I don't see how any of the monsters would benefit from a Bellew win, except maybe the bookies.

Re: RbyR: David Haye vs Tony Bellew - Thoughts and Predictions

Is Bellew in a win win situation here then, despite all his trash talk?

He losses, well he's just a tubby Cruiserweight who still holds his work title there, he'll just have to wander off, head down in a bit of embarrassment after all his talk of knocking Haye out, but he'll have a million+ extra in his bank account at least.

He wins and OMG, a big upset. He's beaten a heavyweight.....he's an effective heavyweight operater and still a cruiserweight world champ. The world is his oyster for further big money fights.

OR, is all the bravado and talk too much to ignore and if he gets a good twatting, is his stock damaged and he is ridiculed for his big mouth?
