iamasadlittleboy
Over the weekend the WBA have announced that Takashi Uchiyama (24-0-1, 20) [内山 高志] will have to defend his WBA "super" Super Featherweight title against regular champion Javier Fortuna (29-0-1-1,21). The WBA have informed both parties of their decision and given them 30 days to reach a deal before the bout goes to purse bids. Unfortunately this announcement appears to derail the hopes of see Uchiyama face Nicholas Walters (26-0-1, 21) on the under-card of Manny Pacquiao Vs Timothy Bradley III, a move that appeared to be all but signed earlier this month. Interestingly for Uchiyama it does seem like this bout, as the Walters one was supposed to be, could be in the US and see the hard hitting Japanese favourite making his long awaited US debut. BoztheMadman
Re: Takashi Uchiyama ordered to face Javier Fortuna A CRACKING fight! :boxing: Hope it does happen. I think I slightly favor Uchiyama, but Fortuna can also win.
