On Sunday a 2-part boxing event from Kariya will be live streamed by a Japanese fans who has BOUGHT THE RIGHTS TO THE SHOW (which they believe is a first for a fan). The event isn't a big one, but for those wanting to see boxing with out PPV this is a great chance to see some fights from an area that perhaps gets under-represented (Central Japan is massively under-covered by TV even in Japan). 2020 11/29 SPLENDID BOXING Part 1 2020 11/29 SPLENDID BOXING Part 2 The guy in charge of it runs a brilliant directory of Japanese fighters (the Boxing Player Directory - http://fanblogs.jp/boxingmeikan/archive/1/0) and if it's a success there's a chance they'll pick up more shows, so please, if you do have the chance, give it a watch :) For those thinking about capping, my under-standing is Seki-chan will archive the fights on their channel as they legitimate have paid for rights for each fight. The quality of this stream is unknown, though my understanding is that Seki-chan is working with Sakana for the streaming and recording (Sakana is the daddy for footage of amateur boxing in Japan) so fingers crossed the quality is almost as good as the A-sign and TV Osaka shows from this Monday

Free boxing in Japan on Monday!

I have done SOME fights like that in regards to commentary the plan is to try and do 1 a week for Asian Boxing. They can be found here, only ever using TV fights for this though https://www.asianboxing.info/miscellaneous/category/english-langauge-dub The overlays for rounds on Asign, TV Osaka, Boxing Real etc tend to be workable but I've no idea how to do overlays etc. The records are a little different in Japan (Total fights, Wins, Losses, Draws... Think some channels have KO's between wins and losses) but aren't too hard to figure out, though I guess commentary giving records etc would solve that Licensing is waaaay beyond me, and I've always assumed if the companies were pissed they'd just tell me to stop (most seem to willingly turn a blind eye to stuff). -

The link still has the full show on it ;) TV Osaka will likely upload the parts of the card themselves (they have in the past) -

I struggling with putting Japanese into UK but the stream does have a count down. It's about 45 minutes from NOW. Sadly Takayama Vs Konishi is off due to Konishi getting a positive PCR test this morning from his weigh in as per- http://www.asianboxing.info/asian-ne...ishi-cancelled -
Japanese TV Channel TV Osaka will be show casing the 2-part Taisei promotions show live on YouTube tomorrow. The show features a former world champion and 3 world title challengers, a regional title bout, and a youngster looking to make a statement following a brilliant win for the Japanese Youth Bantamweight title last year Main bouts are Katsunari Takayama (31-8-0-1, 12) vs Reiya Konishi (17-2, 7) (Main event Part 1) Sho Ishida (28-2, 15) vs Toshiya Ishii (3-0, 2) (Part 2) Riku Kano (16-4-1, 8) vs Ryoki Hirai (12-6-1, 4) - WBO Asia Pacific Light Flyweight title (Main event part 2) https://boxrec.com/en/event/816889 The stream will be here: levisionOsaka%E3%83%86%E3%83%AC%E3%83%93%E5%A4%A7% E9%98%AA

Third fight was Koichi Aso Vs Shogo Yamaguchi Was a majority decision (won't say which way for those wanting to watch), but scores were 77-75 twice and 76-76

Britain is the only place that brings prospects through like this... And well... I think we all have mixed opinions on it...

A Sign will do VOD, though it might take a week before they end up VOD'd, BOXING REAL have had all theres VOD'd (within a day or two) TV Osaka have put their last few up Suruga Boys and Kyoguchi I have no idea about at all, but I'd guess Suruga will as they have next to no income for this show and would likely love the longer term pennies from advertising

For whatever reason YouTube and Boxing seem to be going together well in Japan at the moment and over the next few months we've had 5 events announced for free, live, legal YouTube streams. They aren't monster cards but they all have something to get excited about. For fans wanting to watch the relevant channels are linked to: September 26th Kobe Central Gym, Japan (Boxing Real) Mika Iwakawa (9-5-1, 3) Vs Nanae Suzuki (10-3-1, 1) - WBO Atomweight title bout Shun Kubo (13-2, 9) Vs Takashi Igarashi (13-4, 5) - Kubo is a former world champion Kohei Oba (36-3-1, 14) Vs Yoshiki Minato (8-3, 3) September 27th Fujisan Messe, Japan (Suruga Boys) Tsubasa Murachi (4-1, 3) Vs Ryotaro Kawabata (12-3-2, 6) Rentaro Kimura (1-0, 1) Vs Takafumi Iwaya (4-3) - Kimura is one of the most highly regarded prospects in Japan Koichi Aso (23-9-1, 15) Vs Shogo Yamaguchi (12-5-3, 7) - Aso's fight tend to be a lot of fun! October 13th Korakuen Hall, Japan (A Sign) Reiya Abe (19-3-1, 9) Vs Ren Sasaki (10-0, 6) - Brilliant match up! Absolutely fantastic Kai Chiba (12-1, 8) Vs Haruki Ishikawa (8-2, 6) - Both guys are fun, heavy handed and have questionable chins Kai Ishizawa (6-1, 6) Vs Masashi Tada (13-7-3, 8) - Ishizawa is an all action buzz saw November 3rd INTEX, Osaka, Japan (Hiroto Kyoguchi YouTube Channel) Hiroto Kyoguchi (14-0, 9) Vs Thanongsak Simsri (14-0, 12) - WBA Light Flywweight Super title bout November 23rd Bunka Center, Sanda, Japan (TV Osaka) Riku Kano (16-4-1, 8) Vs Ryoki Hirai (13-6-1, 4) - WBO Asia Pacific Light Flyweight title bout Sho Ishida (28-2, 15) Vs Toshiya Ishii (3-0, 2) - Ishii taking a huge step up against a former world title challenger Katsunari Takayama (31-8-0-1, 12) Vs Reiya Konishi (17-1, 7) - Katsunari Takayama. Nuff said. I can't make any of you watch, but if you are wanting to avoid some of the PPV BS and want to just enjoy boxing, you could do a lot worse than tuning in to some of these BOXING REAL and A-Sign have a track record of great streams, Suruga Boys are a small local Shizuoka based promoter who deserve attention, Hiroto Kyoguchi is streaming his own bout! And TV Osaka are...well a TV company so should know how to deal with this!

So after trying to distance themselves from Daniel Kinahan MTK managed to put themselves in another compromising relationship. Earlier this year they announced Unfortunately just weeks later the "renowned promoter" was being investigated for Tax Evasion. The Muto gym would also see a number of it's fighters having to pull out of bouts in July and August for unspecified reasons (speculated to be coronavirus at the gym), before Mr Edagawa was sentenced to a year in prison for the tax evasion. He's now been suspended indefinitely by the JBC, and has been given a 1 year sentence suspended for 3 years. Poor MTK really can't catch a break can they? And that's ignoring Carl Frampton seemingly admitting tax evasion in his court case with McGuigan...

Too late to enter but I'll throw these out anyway: Akhamdaliev Vs Roman is probably my favourite so far in terms of quality Povetkin Vs Whyte made me warm and remember why I love this sport Rentaro Kimura's debut was something that genuinely excited me -
What Does The Future Hold For Callum Smith?
iamasadlittleboy replied to The_budweiser's topic in World Boxing Forum
Eddie has some sort of working relationship with Andrade, BJS, Smith, GGG, Bivol and yet cant seem to get any 2 of them in the ring together? Best promoter in the world they say!
