Prograis, 33, is a former World champion at super-lightweight. Since his close loss to Josh Taylor, he's won 3 straight over Juan Heraldez, Ivan Redkach & Tyrone McKenna. Date: 26th November 2022 Venue: Dignity Health Sports Park , Carson Title: WBC World Super Light (vacant) How do you see this one going? Ledhed1
Great matchup that's gonna fly under the radar because it's not with an A-list promoter. Always thought highly of Zepeda when he was racking up wins in Mexico for Zanfer on Azteca7. He's had thoroughly impressive wins against Baranchyk, Pedraza and Vargas. No shame in losing to Ramirez who's among the elite in the division. He's got that dog quality and will have the Mexican-American crowd on his side in Carson. Prograis, on the other hand, is one of the most versatile fighters in the sport. Power, speed and boxing ability. Got through the WBSS to the final before running into Taylor, another loss there's no shame in. His level of opposition has fallen off since the Taylor fight, but no reason to expect anything less than his best in this spot which in my view is better than Zepeda's best. As for the promotion, MarvNation of California won the purse bid. Will it be another Triller fiasco, i.e. defaulting on financial obligations? I think Marv can pull it off. The winning bid wasn't in the stratosphere. They could use a solid broadcast arrangement to recoup their investment. It may be the event lands on DAZN. Good luck to em. BoztheMadman
Question is how prime Prograis is still and how affected Zepeda is by the tough wars he had with Ramirez and Baranchyk? If Prograis turns out to be game enough and Zepeda affected, then Prograis wins. If Prograis turns out to be not so game or prime anymore, then there is a good chance Zepeda wins-provided he is not too damaged or affected by those tough fights.

LondonRingRules
- - Zepeda typical overachieving Mexican tough guy is to be admired, but overskilled Prograis been the defrocked step child for a while is better quality and likely takes this in a classy showing.
lamarclark09
Both are good fighters and this fight is very interesting. I think that Zepeda will win this fight. He is the best boxer and he is ranked as the world's fifth best active light welterweight by BoxRec.
