chaconfan
Re: Which champion Which champion is more greater Chavez or Arguello? Who is to say? Both were exceptional. If they fought each other, you would imagine Chavez would hurt him to his thin body, but as individual champs, their careers were both truly legendary. davemurphy
Re: Which champion is more greater? I don't really think of it in terms of head-to-head sinceChavez was obviously bigger, a natural 140 pounder. Chavez had the gaudier record with the 100+ wins, but if you break it down into significant wins, then he doesn't really outdistance Arguello by all that much. I give Chavez the edge but I think it's a lot closer than many believe when we're talking pound-for-pound.

They could have fought on even terms at some point.
Killer Punch
Re: Which champion is more greater? Arguello holds an edge with his precise and rangy technique. He also holds the advantage of more power. If they go one on one, a close match-up is on the cards.
ama
Re: Which champion I personally like Arguello better, but actually Chavez was the more successful fighter. that is if you only compare records, chavez is obviously the greater champ. Million Dollar Baby
Re: Which champion is more greater? This a quite a different comparison. Both have their own style and we would have got to know once they fought against each other.
GianMan
Re: Which champion is more greater? Different kind of fighters, Arguello the more rangier technical fighter. Chavez was more an inside pressure fighter.
