What could an in shape Corrie Sanders have accomplished?

Recommended Posts

Corrie Sanders may be the most forgotten about "coulda woulda shoulda" that existed in the heavyweight division the last twenty years.

The Australian lad was a quick lefty with tons of power and a pretty good beard. Unfortunately, he is the precursor to Chris Arreola's School of Training and Sanders rarely gave it a serious go as a fighter, electing to drink and play golf in some of his prime years.

I am currently watching the Wlad broadcast and you can tell he wanted to prove himself in this fight. His straight left was pretty great.

If he had given boxing a serious go and not opted just for the payday against Vitali [who he gave a good fight in a one-sided entertaining beatdown] and kept on fighting and taking it serious, where could he have gone? Might entertain writing an article on it.

He is South African not Australian. grin//

He was pretty well off and was also a part time golfer so he wasn't the most dedicated. He relied on his power and fought alot at home. The Hasim Rahman fight is an awesome watch and I'd say is a good indicator of Sanders the fighter - powerful but vulnerable.
