I'm not sure what to vote for.

 

I cant vote for myself so that narrows the list down a bit.

 

Recently I enjoyed Rob's Tony Borg interviews and Mod O'Driscolls peice aswell as all the above.

 

Its a tie for me between The turnaround punch or When the British rise.

 

I will go for The turnaround punch.

The rest is a hard choice as they all offer something and are well written.

Thanks, Bud. The articles are so diverse that it's really hard to even compare them. I must admit that I missed Mod O'Driscolls piece until this thread and it's quite good, and has a personal family connection going for it. Rob's interview with Tony Borg did about the best job of introducing us to someone who I must admit I hadn't heard of before, it basically created a demand (info on Borg) that I didn't have before. For me, those two stand out in that they aren't ones that I would search out on a google search or something.

Sometimes the interviews are the hardest ones, the articles you can start with a blueprint and the points your trying to highlight. Getting the right questions to elicit interesting responses is a skill that often exceeds simply making your argument on some point or highlighting history.

---grrrr, just lost internet and have to type this mess up again.

 

If a tie breaker is needed, the Borg article was superb even if an interview because it had depth.

 

If I had the power, I'd put a Borg who knows the mean streets of boxing in charge of the BBBC currently run as a fiefdom by appointed drunken Lords for their own benefit and watch the new interest in boxing grow.

 

Also point out my longstanding complaint against the misuse and mismanagement of running as applied to boxing. Be just as much nonsense if runners had to box in order to compete at running. City kids have no business running on mean streets in traffic that almost never looks for runners or pedestrians when making their moves. C'mon now, 4 two minute rounds in amas these days and only 12 three min rounds for championship pro boxing, usually 4-10 rounds for most.

 

To wit: A car hit me, snapped my leg and I was out for about two years. I was out jogging and the car hit me. I was laid-up for about nine months.
