East Side Boxing Posted November 13, 2013 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Chris Jenkins was head and shoulders above the rest of the field as he stopped Danny Connor in the final of the Betfair Prizefighter Light Welterweights III at York Hall, Bethnal Green. The Welshman, fighting for the first time as a professional outside of his homeland, recorded points victories over Tony Owen and Eren Arif in the earlier rounds before needing only a round-and-a-half to triumph in the final. A superb right hand put Connor down in the opener and although he bravely rose to his feet to make it through to the bell, the same shot soon had him down again.
