http://ringnews24.com/images/pixel.gifAfter Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (31-0-0, 12 KOs) beat “Dinamita” Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOs) on Saturday night via split decision, boxing fans across the world want to know what’s next for each fighter.

Bradley and Marquez put on a great show in Las Vegas. Yet another controversial judges’ decision (116-112 Bradley, 115-113 Bradley, 115-113 Marquez) has created frenzy around the duo, and there is genuine interest about their futures.

Both fighters showcased their talent in the close matchup, and their next bouts will be imperative to the success of their careers moving forward.

What’s Next for Bradley?

This is the second controversial decision victory for Bradley in his last three fights (he also won via split decision against Manny Pacquiao), but great champions win the close battles. While his style isn’t fan-friendly without knockout power, Bradley has proved that he is one of the best in the sport.

That’s why he needs a rematch with Pacquiao.

If "Pac-Man" beats Brandon Rios on Nov. 23, the biggest possible fight would be the rematch between these two stars. Most feel that Pacquiao won the first time, but momentum has shifted into Bradley’s favor since the matchup.

Bradley’s speed stacks up well against Pac-Man, and the elusiveness of the American would offset the power of the legend. Not only would this be the best possible next fight for Desert Storm’s career, but it would also be the most exciting possible bout for the fans.

With this potential fight offering Pacquiao redemption and Bradley a high-profile payday, it’s the kind of win-win situation that could come to fruition.

Next Predicted Fight: Manny Pacquiao in early 2014.

What’s Next for Marquez?

Few fighters have dealt with as many controversial decisions as Juan Manuel Marquez, and yet another split-decision loss should mark the end of his storied career.

The Mexican legend has compiled some amazing accolades over his long life in the ring, but another tough loss should make it easy for him to walk away. With fans supporting him now more than ever after Saturday's questionable outcome, this is the ideal time for Dinamita to retire and be remembered as a legend.

If Marquez must fight again after this tough loss, the promoters must find another suitable opponent worthy of his main event status. Officials don’t want to discount the impact he had in the modern era by putting him against an unknown up-and-coming star.

Look for names like Amir Khan and Victor Ortiz to be bounced around as a next possible bout for Marquez or possibly even a rematch with Pac-Man after the vicious knockout that Marquez delivered in the duo’s fourth fight, but the best possible scenario is still retirement.

The 40-year-old should leave the sport on his own terms.

Next Predicted Fight: Victor Ortiz in early 2014 (retirement is also possible).
