  1. Re: Which boxer that you supported had you gutted when they lost? For me it was Nonito "Flash" Donaire he was undefeated winning 30 fights in a row having not loss a fight for 12 yrs. It wasn't good to see him lose to Guillermo Rigondeaux in April of 2013. It was even more painful to see him lose to Nicholas Walters because he lost BAD to Walters he was always a very good boxer. Donaire's power never carried over to the other higher weight classes in boxing. Even though he's currently a world champion his boxing career seems to be in decline. Donaire's defending his WBO Super Bantamweight Championship against a fighter by the name of Zsolt Bedak on April 23, 2016. Let's see how that fight goes and hope he wins.
  2. Re: Do Americans or non British get excited by our domestic match-ups? Yeah we actually do. I'm from America and we actually don't get Sky Sports or Box Nation back in the states. We have to watch domestic UK matches on Youtube or by a stream. I'm hoping a future major network will opt to air high profile UK cards on American television. For now we can only follow the sport by watching these particular matches on the boxing forum.
  3. Re: BJS Behaviour I agree with Billy Joe Saunders Chris Eubank Jr. needs to defeat a top 10 Middleweight if they're going to the WBA title route then, Daniel Jacobs would be the perfect opponent then, if Eubank Jr. wins they can have a WBA/WBO World Middleweight Unification match that would be HUGE Hearn and Warren could co-promote that event at Wembley Stadium. The first fight was CLOSE I personally scored it a draw I thought BJS won the first half and Eubank Jr. the second half of it. That's a fight that the boxing public is going to demand and they will have a rematch soon in the not too distant future. Who knows this might lead to trilogy fight if Eubank Jr wins that rematch?
  4. Re: Thoughts on Oscar Valdez vs. Evgeny Gradovich on Pacquiao-Bradley III undercard? Pacquiao-Bradley III Updated Fight Card 4/9/16 Main Event Welterweights 12 Rounds Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley III WBO Super Middleweight Championship "King" Arthur Abraham © vs. Gilberto "El Zurdo" Sanchez-Ramirez Featherweights 10 Rounds Oscar Valdez vs. Evgeny Gradovich Super Lightweights 10 Rounds Jose Ramirez vs. Manny Perez The untelevised portion of undercard on Top Rank Tv features top rising prospects Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Brad Solomon.
  5. Undefeated top Mexican Featherweight prospect Oscar Valdez is taking on "The Mexican-Russian" Evgeny Gradovich who trains with Robert Garcia in Oxnard, California. I think this is going to a great action packed fight and has the right makings to steal the show on the undercard. In a perfect world Premier Boxing Champions would co-promote boxing events with Top Rank and we would get to see Oscar Valdez vs. Leo Santa-Cruz, Oscar Valdez vs. Abner Mares, Oscar Valdez vs. Fernando Montiel and Oscar Valdez vs. Gary Russell Jr. The first top three fights mentioned would be a big cracker fights similar to Barrera-Morales I,II,III and Israel Vasquez vs. Rafael Marquez trilogies. I hope someday that we get a chance to see those particular fights to see the Mexican warriors to go war in boxing classics.
  6. Re: Louis Ortiz not going to be part of Alvarez-Khan Golden Boy Promotions undercard? Yes, Matthysse appears to have a serious eye injury worse than diagnosed before. That would have a early FOTY candidate similar to Matthysse-Provodnikov from last year.
  7. Re: Browne fails test. It would of been good if he won without taking anything he wasn't supposed to then, have a unification match with Luis Ortiz. Joseph Parker was calling him out too. Is the fight going to be changed to NC?
  8. Re: Berto vs Ortiz 2 is signed and troublesome undercard Ortiz-Berto was FOTY in 2011 and the rematch was slated for 2012 and then, got canceled. It's now 2016 it still will be a good scrap while that last both of them need a win and can't afford the loss. I think more with Victor Ortiz his career is in serious jeopardy. Andre Berto already cashed out with his "Money May" pay day and is the more accomplished boxer 2x champion. I wouldn't mind seeing these fights or perhaps any of these being promoted on future PBC/Showtime cards. Junior Middleweights 12 Rounds Charles "The Future" Hatley vs. Austin "No Doubt" Trout Junior Middleweights 12 Rounds Demetrius Andrade vs. Jermell "Iron Man" Charlo Super Featherweights 12 Rounds Abner Mares vs. Fernando Montiel
  9. Re: Louis Ortiz not going to be part of Alvarez-Khan Golden Boy Promotions undercard? I was actually looking forward to watching Lucas Matthysse vs. Mauricio Herrera I think that's the match that would have stolen the show. Now Mauricio Herrera is fighting Frankie Gomez a top Welterweight blue chip prospect he was actually scheduled to fight Humberto Soto instead another Welterweight prospect promoted by Golden Boy Antonio Orozco ended up fighting him instead. I should be a great match. I hope Frankie Gomez doesn't think he's going to be using Mauricio Herrera as a "stepping stone" this will be his toughest test to see if he's ready for the next level of boxing competition in his pro career. I'm rooting for Mauricio "El Mae'stro" Herrera.
  10. Oscar De La Hoya did say recently in an interview that he was going to try and secure a meaningful heavyweight title fight for Luis Ortiz on the Alvarez-Khan undercard on 5/7/16 now that appears to be off? The pay per view portion of the under card appears to be now finalized. What are your thoughts on the pay per view card Golden Boy has put together? WBC/Ring Magazine Middleweight Championship Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Amir Khan Middleweights 12 Rounds David Lemieux vs. Glen "Jersey Boy" Tapia Welterweights 12 Rounds Mauricio "El Maestro" Herrera vs. Frankie Gomez Middleweights 10 Rounds Patrick Teixeira vs. Curtis Stevens *card subject to change*
  11. re: Burns gets world title shot - Result I actually attended the Premier Boxing Champions card front row ringside when Burns fought Omar Figueroa. Burns fought a good a fight. The fight was very close and that was against a much better fighter than, Zlaticanin with the fight being close they always award the decision to the home town fighter. I think Burns knows that this is his last run at world level and he's gonna fight the fight of his life to try and win that Lightweight Championship.
  12. Re: What do you think of George Groves next fight? It should be a good fight. I know St. George Groves wanted to stay active actually requested his promoter Sauerland Event to try and get a fight for Groves on the untelevised portion of Pacquiao-Bradley III undercard. I also, remember reading another article about an eventual big Summer fight with top contender Martin Murray.
  13. Re: Lemieux missed catchweight - fight off I read an article that David Lemieux was going to fight an "elite" Middleweight for his comeback fight. James De La Rosa is actually a local club fighter from my area. Its a shame that David Lemieux didn't make weight for this fight. De La Rosa is decent got a win over Alfredo Angulo a few years ago. David Lemieux needs to fight a top 15 pro ranked Middleweight.
  14. Re: Rigo out of Dickens fight due to visa issues? It's a shame was really looking forward to seeing this fight Jazza had a great fight with Kid Galahad.
  15. Re: What fight/fight's are you looking forward to the most? I'm hoping that Golden Boy Promotions will make Lucas Matthysse vs. Mauricio Herrera on the undercard of Alvarez-Khan.
