  1. Re: Frampton vs Cruz rematch close to being finalised - who wins? Shane McGuigan in an interview with IFL at the George Groves presser stated that he expects the rematch to be delayed and that we may now see it early 2017. For me, I expect Carl to win easier than he did in the first contest which was a great fight, then again i'm extremely biased...
  2. Re: Need your opinion Ko Boxing members An Irish one haha! But the Mexican one looks good in my opinion!
  3. Re: Eddie Hearn does fighters impressions haha, yeah the first part of the Eubank one is quality but sadly it's all down hill from there! Reminds me of Jnr's career...
  4. Re: Joshua-Klitschko? I agree mate would be a great end to a year which promised so much from the heavyweight division yet gave us so little, but 2017 in a big stadium is where i'll place my money.
  5. Re: Joshua-Klitschko? That's a good point, I hate the mentality over here that a loss is the be all and end all most of the greats had many loses and it has done nothing to tarnish their legacies as the best fought the best constantly! Even in UFC a loss although disappointing does not make a fighter any less marketable Conor McGregor is an example but in boxing a loss is both feared and revered.
  6. Re: Joshua-Klitschko? The power makes the fight both intriguing and interesting for the duration even if Klitschko is 8-0 up on the scorecards!
  7. Re: Joshua-Klitschko? I think you are going to be right about the opponent for November 26th anyway! AJ is just to easy of a sell for any effort..probably Quigg fighting on the undercard for a paper belt to contend with also.
  8. Re: Joshua-Klitschko? Agreed mate it has Wembley written all over it for me!
  9. Can anyone really see this happening on November 26th at the Manchester Arena? I know Hearn has spoken ably it being likely and a real possibility for Fury's belt when he is inevitably stripped. But as most of you will know you can't believe a word that comes from Hearn's mouth as he likes to get everyone talking and then announce a weak opponent to feed to Joshua which will sell out and end in a few rounds if it lasts that long... If these two were to meet I can see it happening only in Wembley next summer, just wondering what others make of this claim by Hearn and if you see it happening where and when? also who wins? I believe it to be an interesting fight and Klitschko can recapture any of his old form he will have to much experience and nullify AJ but AJ has that power and with that always has a chance!
  10. Re: Are you buying Brook-GGG PPV? Only one of us will be smiling then lol I have a feeling it will be me!!
  11. Re: Anyone excited with any of the Brook-GGG undercard fights? Can't wait for Edwards-Casemiro! It's a really intriguing fight and a tough ask for Edwards after nine pro fights none of which were near Casemiro's level but he passed with flying colours not even losing a round. I hope he can pull it off but I believe the champion has had more world title defences than the challenger has had fights!! It could be too early and he could be completely out of depth or he could just pull it off..I just don't think so right now but I could change my mind before the first bell rings. I am also excited to watch the Haskins-Hall world title clash as there is a strong possibility the winner will face my man Ryan Burnett next provided the latter comes through a tough fight against Farage next month and set up a big Belfast world title fight, my preference would be Haskins for no other reason than I like him more as a fighter and a man.
  12. Re: Are you buying Brook-GGG PPV? Yes, ill buy it considered heading over to it (from Ireland) but it didn't work out for a few reasons! GGG is one of those fighters that I will tune into watch every time he fights never mind the opponent because he is just that good!! Also looking forward to Charlie Edwards' tilt at the world title could be a great fight or he could be entirely out of his depth, kudos to him for taking the chance though! Agree about the Old Firm hopefully it doesn't put a downer on the fights, I have a feeling in my case it won't lol, I'll not ask who you are supporting!
  13. Re: Fat Dan right to pick on Saunders? He probably has a point but he hates anything and everything associated with this side of the pond, this is something I have called him out about in his chat numerous times and have only received sarcastic and smart replies too. Though he's messing with the wrong guy as BJS isn't afraid to speak his mind and he made it clear what he thinks of Dan's opinion in his responses lol.
  14. Re: UK has 14 world champions - Who isn't a legit champ? Haskins ill maybe agree with..Saunders earned his right to fight for the title and beat a legitimate champion in Andy Lee to win the belt, although I will concede his resume as champion is an abomination, if he just fight someone!! Liam Smith agreed! Burns I suppose I have to agree this time, he has went through hard times and fought the best and was a great champion so I find it hard to begrudge it to him however he shouldn't hold the belt and Di Rocco shouldn't have been sanctioned to fight for the belt!! Bellew I believe is legitimate fought credible opponents at the weight to earn a shot at one of the most feared and avoided fighters at the weight in Makubu and beat him so that makes him the legitimate WBC champ in my eyes!
  15. Re: UK has 14 world champions - Who isn't a legit champ? Joshua definitely for a start, he shouldn't have even fought for a title never mind challenge arguably the worst world heavyweight champion ever in Charles Martin who himself won the title by default as his opponents knee gave in. Liam Smith's reign as a world champion and the winning of the belt is questionable and I can't help but assume he got it so easily as his promoter (Frank Warren) seems to own the WBO as it's the only belt his fighters seem to hold..again the political side of the game resulting in poor world title resumes. However kudos for taking on Canelo Alvarez even if he is just effectively selling his belt to the highest bidder..Canelo should take a page out of Smith's book and step up and fight the big name *cough* Golovkin *cough*.
