  1. "Philadelphia’s only current boxing champion" Wow. How times have changed! And lord how I miss having Manny Steward around.
  2. It's now been confirmed: 16 oz gloves, and no judges. Even more ridiculous that we first imagined.
  3. "Agit Kabayel vs Frank Sanchez and Moses Itauma vs Ilja Mezencev." SWEET !
  4. Is he da' man, or a flash in the pan? With his ams record, plus KO's over Falcao and Agbeko, he sure seems legit to me. And a southpaw, to boot: https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/852450
  5. Should have been called a N/C. And Tim STILL almost won it. Fondura fought stupidly, as usual. He only started to use his height and reach in the last couple of rounds. That guy has no future. --------- "And Pitbull Cruz takes out that fraud Rolly Romero." That was sweet. Total destruction and humiliation of a typical WBA "champ." The gas tank on Cruz is amazing. My only qualm is that, when his opponent is in trouble, he tends to swing semi-wildly, missing a lot. Against someone like Haney, he's going to need better precision.
  6. The problem with Fundora, from the little I've seen, is that he has no idea how to capitalize on his height & reach advantages. I don't know much about Tszyu, but I'm rooting for him. Neither one has a chance against Sweet T, of course.
  7. Excellent card! Three genuinely 50-50 matchups. Whooda' thunkit?
  8. Of course. It will be choreographed to make both men look good, without any danger of either man getting hurt. Floyd wrote the textbook on how to do it.
  9. Zhang threw even less punches against Parker than Wilder did. I smell a rat ..... AJ beat a guy who has virtually zero defense, a guy that actually looked like crap against Fury no matter what the promotors try to say. And the rest of the fights sucked even worse. What a great night of boxing .........
  10. ^ Absolutely ridiculous. Gives me a headache. But I'm glad promotors are at least trying to reach a new & younger audience.
  11. An excellent development. Bena is on another level, of course, but not at 175. Gvozdyk tough, strong, and not without skill. Bena had better not take him form granted. And if this is truly an eliminator for Beter-Bivol, then it's gonna' be some great fan-pleasing bouts ahead. Good for the sport overall. I don't even CARE about Canelo.
  12. I like the sound of THAT. Have they announced the full card yet? (I'm too busy / lazy to check right now.)
  13. roberto00.wordpress.com/2024/02/05/tyson-fury-quitting-his-scheduled-saudi-fight-against-oleksandr-usyk/ LOL ! Your personal bias is just a LITTLE bit obvious there, Bobby. Still articles like this might actually light a fire under Fury's butt, which would be a good thing, so keep it up !
