  1. Tough fight to pick a winner in. Chosora at times can look like a real contender & other times he looks uninterested. Parker can also be lethargic at times & doesn't always let his hands go enough but he has a good chin & some pop. He has more boxing skill then Chisora but Del Boy when on is a very aggressive in your face fighter but will he be busy enough to keep Chisora off him? I think this could end up being a great fight but at the same time it could be a stinker too if neither guy puts the pedal to the metal. It all depends on which Parker & Chisora show up. Hopefully we get a barnburner with both guys throwing serious leather. Chisora will always get fights because of his popularity & when on he is a very entertaining fighter. Parker needs this win more than Chisora in my opinion to stay in contention for another title shot.
  2. Sure if Huck has enough left to get by Joyce. Joyce is extremely easy to hit but has a good chin. Can Huck hit hard enough to slow the Juggernaught down?
  3. He looks to have a stiff jab but let see it used when he has better opponents in front of him. With his limited amateur experience they will move him slowly much like Wilder's handlers did. I got no problems with that as long as he is fighting 4 to 5 times a year. His best opponents have been Gorman & Kevin Johnson. It would be nice to see him fight David Price soon but I also think they want him to get more rounds. I would consider fights with durable journeymen like Hubeaux or Enguema. They usually provide some rounds & are not a big a threat. They actually punch back too. I think 1 more year of development should be enough to get him ready for the next level. He should be ready for some top 20-30 fighters at some point late in 2020. An EU title should be on the radar next year.
  4. Solid fringe level contender. Never got inside the top 10 (In my opinion) during a tough 90s era. Gave any HW a tough fight but couldn't win that big fight to get him to the next level. A gatekeeper type along the same lines as Obed Sullivan & Lou Saverese.
  5. Re: Tonight America will crown a new World Heavyweight champion No surprise there but what was surprising is that King gave Molina the push the last few years instead of Bryan. Bryan looked good against Rossy then only had 2 meaningless fights since until last night. Bryan was supposed to fight Miller but Duhaupas fought him instead. Bryan is probably going to fight the Charr/Oquendo winner next but there is always the chance King has a couple in house fights for Bryan against Stiverne & Molina...
  6. Re: Hughie Fury just one win away from Anthony Joshua That is pretty much the way I see it too. I think Fury walks out with around $500000 though...
  7. Re: [spoilers] Takam vs Chisora I completely agree. Lewis busted his face up. Many people in other forms still cry about it & say Vitali would have knocked Lennox out if the fight continued. I don't know where they get that from other then complete bias towards Vitali. He won 4 rounds in a 12 round fight but he lost was stopped in round 6. The math makes sense to me but not to the people who use to wear Klitschko underwear...
  8. Re: [spoilers] Takam vs Chisora Actually I have many of Takam's fights & he usually is a slow starter who feels out his opponent but then puts on the pressure in the 2nd half. He is usually in your face aggressive once he feels out his opponent & gauges his punching power but in this fight he came right after Chisora from the opening bell & may have punched himself out.
  9. Re: [spoilers] Takam vs Chisora Team Chisora said they would wait until the second half because they knew Takam wasn't a big puncher...
  10. Re: [spoilers] Takam vs Chisora Exactly! TKO6 Lennox over Vitali but Vitali was up 4-2 when it was stopped... boohoo Lennox busted his face up & forced a stoppage. Sure Chisora was losing but so was David Tua in many fights that he pulled the late KO...
  11. Re: Fury confirms he's close to a deal to fight Wilder in December! The biggest question I have if this fight happens is not Fury's inactivity or weight but his choice to replace Peter Fury as his trainer...
  12. Re: Fury confirms he's close to a deal to fight Wilder in December! The only obvious thing here is your disdain for Fury. He could have knocked Wlad out cold & you would claim it was a draw. The bottom line is Fury was the first guy who could nullify Wlad's arsenal. He had no plan B.
  13. Re: Fury confirms he's close to a deal to fight Wilder in December! Why is it hard to believe? Plenty of fighters have taken a few years off & come back for whatever reasons. From vids I seen he looks trimmer & could be in the 260s now against Pianeta after being 279 vs Seferi. I get it that a few here don't like Fury but the guy beat Klitschko fair & square in Germany. Make all the excuses you want for Wlad but the bottom line is he couldn't land a punch while he almost took out Joshua 18 months later at 41. Other than Haye nobody has done to Chisora what Fury did in their 2nd fight. Haye knocked him out but Fury beat him into submission & made him quit on his stool. Fury never gets enough credit. Will he be the same fighter? maybe not but he is only 29 & who thought the guy could go from 398lbs to 279 in 8 months? Nobody! Now he is just concentrating on boxing & not losing weight. I got no problems with him fighting Wilder after Pianeta. Of course if Wilder beats him than people will say Fury wasn't ready or Warren was cashing him out. Complete & utter nonsense. If Fury beats Wilder nobody will give Fury credit because Wilder's haters will say he was never any good like the same people who hate Fury say about him.
  14. Re: Could Alexander Povetkin derail an Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder Showdown? Povetkin is a threat for sure especially if he can land that left hook inside. They need a good ref who allows inside fighting. I was always a big fan of Steve "Let them kill each other " Smoger or undervalued Italian referee Ingo Barrabis. He does not like to get involved & he let's guys fight inside as long as they are not holding or clinching much. He will allow guys to fight out of it in the trenches...
  15. Re: Happy with Furys next opponent? I'm ok with this opponent. Fury had to drop over 100lbs so this isn't your typical comeback story of former drug addict making a comeback. He was nearly 400lbs 9 months ago. Dropping that kind of weight is pretty remarkable in my opinion & now he can focus more on his boxing then just weight loss. He will gradually step it up & I'm sure he has got another fight happening before the end of the year. I don't expect Fury to take on a top 30 HW until spring of 2019. Then maybe a big fight against a top 15 in summer before getting a title shot against whomever is the HW champ closing out 2019.
