McDonnell-Hall

Surprised there's no thread about this one yet. Should be an absolute cracker that could go either way. McDonnell is the more talented boxer, but also more vulnerable. Hall is stronger, but inexperienced and not as good technically as McDonnell.

I see Hall being outboxed early on, but slowly grinding McDonnell down and stopping him in the later rounds. Hall is one of these fighters with an almost unshakable will to win and I don't think he'll be denied tomorrow night.

What say you?

Very good fight and certainly one of the best in Britain this year. Action from start to finish. Hall won the majority of the first 5 or 6 rounds but McDonnell took control after the midway stage and won a deserved unanimous points decision. He showed some glimpses of genuine class and now holds the British, Commonwealth and European titles.

Next up, World stage? I think he might be ready for it soon and he's still young so has time. Sadly bantamweight is one of the most talent filled weight classes in the World right now. Donaire, Mares, Agbeko, Moreno, Darchinyan, Sydorenko, Ruiz, the Kameda brothers.... Kudos to him if he challenges one of them.

I think he'll one day challenge for a World title and probably lose. Then he will fight some more European level fights and get another title shot later on which will probably have a similar outcome. But then again i did say the same about Amir Khan, Bernard Dunne, Ricky Burns etc and they all proved me wrong.
