Turns out the crossdressing pics of De La Hoya were legit

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is turning a lot of heads with his revealing interview on the program "Aquí y Ahora" on Univision. As we reported last night, De La Hoya, sober for the last three months, held nothing back when he appeared on the program to discuss his addictions to alcohol and cocaine. The former five division champion even disclosed his infidelities and other issues that affected his marriage.

 

In a shocking disclosure, De La Hoya came clean, for first time ever - as he acknowled the legit nature of the infamous photos that were circulating all over the internet in 2007. In the photos, the boxer was wearing fishnets and high heels and several of the photos were taken with a New York City stripper, Milana Dravnel, who claimed De La Hoya was having an affair with her.

 

At the time of the scandal, De La Hoya's camp claimed the stripper "photo shopped" the images and placed De La Hoya's head on the body of another person. At the time of the incident, his spokeswoman said - "his head's too small and it doesn't even look like his body."

 

But, during Tuesday's interview, De La Hoya said enough was enough and he came clean. De La Hoya told interviewer Teresa Rodriguez that his life starting getting out of control when the "stripper scandal" happened in September 2007. At the time of the incident, De La Hoya tried cocaine for the first time.

 

De La Hoya: Let me tell you that it started when there was a scandal about a woman and I several years ago.

 

Rodriguez: Was it that famous photo in which you are wearing women’s lingerie?

 

ODLH: Exactly.

 

TR: What happened with that? But also, was it you or was it fake?

 

ODLH: Let me tell you, yes, it was me. I’m tired of lying, lying to people, lying to myself.

 

TR: In that photo, Oscar, were you under the influence of alcohol and cocaine?

 

ODLH: Alcohol and cocaine. Yes, both. Yes, and it was the first time I used it, and the drugs were not like alcohol. For me, I know I need alcohol more than drugs, and so, but got into very bad things.

 

TR: Were you out of control?

 

ODLH: I was reaching that point where I could no longer control it.

Well at least he's OK now regarding the cocaine and booze. The crossdressing thing is nobody's business but his own, except for one wonders what became of the kiss and tell girl - did they bully her into silence or just buy her off?

They're claiming he paid here $20 million to hush up apparently.Whatever it was,she was most like paid.Seems a waste now.

20 million dollars. Even for a man of Oscar's means that's a truckload of cash. If it's going to cost me 20 million dollars I'll kep the money and people can say what the fuck they like!

Yeah,Im not sure if that's an accurate figure,but I could see De La Hoya forking over a large sum just to protect his image at the time.Especially considering the images of him showed him with another woman that wasnt his wife.

I imagine that figure is inflated, and also if she was paid off then why would it be AFTER the pictures were released? Did she try to extort him and he tried calling her bluff and then she released them? If he paid THAT much, then these things would've never seen the light of day, buying her silence after their release seems to be closing the gate after the fact and of somewhat limited value, certainly not worth $20 Million.

i think the "payoff" was after the pictures were released. i remember something about de la hoya & his people claiming the images were fakes.

Yeah,it was after the pictured were released.She filed a 100 million dollar lawsuit against him,claiming that he had "duped" her into agreeing that the pics were edited.They made an out of court settlement and the matter pretty much died from there.

 

 

Funniest part I read was when it said that the deal also called for her to give back the heels,fishnets and underwear that he was pictured posing in.mlol/

I knew they were legit as soon as I heard that Oscar got *his own* examiners to prove the photos were legit and report that in The Ring mag. Anyway, who cares, to each their own. I only care for Oscar, the boxer.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the exact details, only that it faded away pretty quickly. Since she had the originals and they could be examined, I guess paying her off even after their release and letting the Photoshop Defense squelch all the negative press had value......I mean, up till he admitted it the other day, it had pretty much disappeared.
