Sources within Scotland have advised BoxingScene.com that a deal has been reached for Ricky Burns (39-2, 9 KOs) to defend his WBO super featherweight championship against undefeated Adrien Broner (21-0, 17 KOs) on November 26th. Burns will provide Broner with the homefield advantage by traveling to the United States to face the American boxer at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. HBO will televise the fight. Broner's promoter, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, confirmed the information to Lem Satterfield of RingTV.com.

Great fight, finally a world class opponent for Burns, should be very interesting fight.

The fact he's travelling for this fight is a bit worrying.

I always like to see the champ have home advantage, unless they're both big draws.

Broner is a very tough challenge, and Burns should be facing him in Scotland.

Another very good reason, is that I'm fed up of British boxers only coming home for crap fights and then travelling to face anyone half decent.

It's like they think they can sell any old mince to their own fans, but when something sells on it's own right, they'll cash in elsewhere.

Kudos to Ricky for taking the fight at least. It will be his first real challenge since he won the title.

Broner should have to travel. It's bad enough Broner has speed, power, a lot of skill and now he has, not only is the fight in his own Country, but it's in his own state and city. That's just not right. Burns is the titleholder, come to his home. It's not like it's going to make that much of a difference anyway. It's going to be a quick, one-sided afair, and I'm shocked that Warren is actually making the fight happen.

Makes F*** all difference where the fight is. Broner will stop Burns anywhere in the world, no matter where it is. The gulf in class between them will show unfortunately.

this!!! bravo//

ricky has had a nice run, but broner can really put it all together. ricky has to hope that broner gets all tentative like he did versus ponce

Let's be honest, Ricky's reign so far has been a joke. I'm not saying it's his fault, more than likely Frank's, but since he won the title off Martinez he's beat Laryea and Cook. That's worse than Haye's two defences against Ruiz and Harrison!

Laryea only got his shot because he beat Paul Appleby, but what's Paul Appleby ever done?!

Nicky Cook was a joke of a fight, he got smashed to bits off Martinez who Burns then went on to win the belt off so what was the need in making that match up?

This is Burn's biggest test of his career so far, forget Martinez who only had the big punch, Broner has everything. He can punch, he can put the combos together, he's quick and he can box, which is something Martinez couldn't do. I can only see this fight going one way and I think Ricky will have done really well if he makes it past the halfway stage.

I don't want to sound pessimistic about the predictions, but this was exactly what was said before the Martinez fight, and imo Matrtinez is infinitely better than Broner is at this stage.

I think it will be closer than people give Burns credit for, and lo and behold, should he actually win, Broner will just be dismissed as having never achieved anything (which he hasn't yet).

The guy looks good, but this is also his first real step up too, so it will answer a lot of questions about both guys.

i hope you're right, but i just can't see it happening. broner seems like such an ass having someone comb his hair in the ring

I was one of those who agreed Martinez would beat Burns, i don't know much about Broner so im going to download a few of his fights to see how good he really is.

But having a quick peak at his Boxrec record apart from his last few fights his records made up of bums, is he overrated? after the Martinez we were asking our selfs is Martinez overrated? so why not ask this before Burns fights him.

Before i watch a few of Boners fights why is this fight away from home? Warren said he wants to grow Burns fanbase, well this fight is the complete oppisite say Burns loses the fight who in Scotland cares? apart from his corrent fans, some way to grow his folllowing fight hundreds of miles away.

Burns last few interviews has said i fight better the stronger the oppisiton, lets hope he keeps to his word. If Hatton and other UK fighters are anything to go buy when they go abroad few weeks before the flight and settle not days.

Burns is up against it this time, Broner looks the nuts!

Ricky can win tho, he's grown into his role as champ and improved his power and confidence.

Shame its not in Scotland as id be there but good ffight regardless

BTW, Why isnt it in Scotland? Ricky is champion and has the bigger fan base...

broner is still a kid trying to make a name here in the US, and undoubtedly most of the money for the fighters purses is coming from HBO.

it SHOULD be in scotland, but HBO won't go over there for a kid fighting a (relatively speaking) no name. if there was a notable UK fighter, like khan say, in the main event, i bet they would have done it

I just watched Adrien Broner's last three fights against John Revish, Daniel Ponce De Leon and Jason Litzau. What do you guys see in Broner that I don't ? Having watched his last three fights there is no gulf in class. Broner is a fighter in the making and has many flaws.

Broner has 21 fights and 19 of those were against poor opposition the reason he has a 81% knock out ratio, I thought De Leon beat him and he landed a 1 shot on Litzau face then when he was stunned went in for the kill.

Broner mostly throws in 1 punches trying to load up with every shot and making loud groans to try and get the judges attention, but as De Leon showed he can be out worked with ease. If Ricky throws in 2/3/4's and moves like he did with Martinez he will out work the 1 shot puncher Broner.

Broner only thows 2/3's plus, when his oppenent De Leon was on the ropes, stay off the ropes and out of the corner and he only throws in 1's.

When De Leon came forward Broner would hold his hands really high leaving both his sides unbelieveably open to body shots.

----------------------------

Key for Ricky to win

Lots of movement, Circle the Ring, Stay off Ropes

Throw in 2/3/4's and when retreating have high guard as Broner likes to counter with big 1 punches.

Work the body when Broner puts his hands in the sky.

Don't get complacent like you did in the second half of the Martinez fight when you stayed on the ropes.

----------------------------

Broner is taylor made for Burns, his workrate is poor. If Broner can't land that one shot he trys for in almost every punch he will struggle to win, especially on points as Burns will out work him. Burns has been in many twelve round fights and Broner has only been in one ten round fight and a few 6 rounds, Burns experience and fitness are greater as well. Only thing is how does Burns travel?

My Prediction Burns UD if he stays off the ropes
