WelshDevilRob
I recall that Leigh Wood vs Michael Conlan was a helluva fight. Jordan Gill vs Karim Guerfi was a must watch. Had me on the edge of my seat.
Cableaddict
Gotta' work on this. I didn't take good notes this year, and my memory 'aint what it used to be. (Or maybe it is, I can't quite remember.) ---------------------- One thing's for sure: Howard Foster definitely grabbed the "Most Corrupt Referee" trophy this year, with his stellar performance in Dubois - Lerena. Russel Mora gave it his best in Bivol - Canelo, but sadly for him, the right man still won.
Cableaddict
Fight of the Year: Lot's of competition, but I think I'll go with Dimitri Bivol beating Canelo, the judges, and the referee, all in the same night. De-throning the king is serious business. ----------- Trainer of the Year: Derek James. Spence comes back from the dead and KO's Ugas. Jermell Charlo KO's Castano And the new wonder boy Frank Martin just COMPLETELY dominated a very talented & undefeated Michel Rivera. That 'aint whistling Dixie.

Cableaddict
"KO of the year has to be Joe Cordina KO 2nd Kenichi Ogawa. Devastating." No argument from me ! And not just the KO, but that lovely feint which set it up. 1
Ledhed1
Fighter of the Year Bivol. 2 big wins trump the one for Usyk Fight of the Year Leigh Wood vs Michael Conlan. KO of the Year In the interest of avoiding repeating FOTY I'll go with Caleb Plant vs Anthony Dirrell. Comeback of the Year Kiko Martinez Trainer of the Year Easy enough to stay with fighter of the year in this spot I'll go Derrick James for his success with multiple fighters. Event of the Year For spectacle 94000 for Fury vs Whyte. For significance Haney vs Kambosos I, the lightweight title changes hands. Upset of the Year Opetaia vs Briedis Performance of the Year Bivol vs Canelo Most Inspirational Not much about boxing extends beyond the ring tbh. But yea Usyk was it in a unique year for all the wrong reasons. Robbery of the Year Ian John Lewis hasn't worked since Taylor vs Catterall. He had the same winner as Victor Loughlin and was 1 round different than Loughlin's card. IJL being robbed of his career wins this category.

If anyone could dethrone the steaming piles of pig entrails that are Howard Foster and Russel Mora, it would have to be the most corrupt boxing official of the 21st century, IJL. And of course, the BBoC let the decision stand. Of course. 1
