The_budweiser Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 EDMONTON (Aug. 24, 2011) – World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Middleweight Champion Andre Ward and World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Middleweight Champion Carl Froch continued the three-city international press tour yesterday in New York City to formally announce The Final of the Super Six World Boxing Classic, set to air LIVE in Canada only on Super Channel courtesy of SHOWTIME®, Saturday, Oct. 29 at 10 p.m. ET from the historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. Ward and Froch, along with their respective promoters Dan Goossen and Eddie Hearn, Ken Hershman, Executive Vice President and General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports® and creator of the Super Six World Boxing Classic, Ken Condon from Caesars Atlantic City and Aaron Davis, Commissioner of the State Athletic Control Board, spoke with a crowded room of media from New York, New Jersey and national outlets at Highline Ballroom in Chelsea to discuss what is being called the most significant fight in the history of the Super Middleweight division. After a two-year, grueling journey, Ward, America’s last Olympic Gold Medalist, will face British superstar Froch in The Final to determine the world’s best 168-pound fighter.
