RAZZ-MCFC
easy one, JCC Jr! Massively overrated hypejob. Living off his fathers name.

davemurphy
Chavez Jr is as bad as I've seen in 45 years of watching boxing. If his name was Rodriguez and not Chavez, we wouldn't know him yet.

If his name was Rodriguez and not Chavez, we wouldn't know him yet. is this in the sense of hype-to-talent ration or something? cause chavez isn't THAT bad. beating zbik was a nice little win for him. i doubt he could make it so far to have the fan base that he does, but hell, urbano antillon has been in two world title fights and he's like a lightweight chavez jr
donlevy
Khan might have been a hypejob for the first three years of his career but he's come good since then and is having a pretty decent run at the moment.De La Hoya had a decorated career himself too so I dont understand those two picks. Joe Ko
Ronald Hearns vs JC Jnr world title fight embarassing for boxing, major hype jobs. As for Canelo I think he will turn out quite decent, but needs better tests.

Every one hates on Chavez, which would suggest he's not particularly hyped, he's disliked by basically everyone other than Sulaiman and Arum, everyone calls him shit and living on his dads name. How is that "hype"? At least Hearns is a career middleweight...

Bob only does it because he knows the Mexican fans will buy the PPV's.

Bob only does it because he knows the Mexican fans will buy the PPV's. So people listen to what uncle bob says? He's trying to sell his fighter, even the Mexicans say he's crap. Hype is, IMO, where the media say they are the best thing since sliced bread, not the guys promoter, the promoter isn't going to go "We have this kid, he's a bit shit but he's got a famous name", the promoter is going to do all they can to cash in, thats their job... iamasadlittleboy
Some more to throw out there so we get off this Mexican hate: Povetkin-Next big thing....still....? Amir Monsour-Some on other forums are saying he'll be the next HW champion, the bloke is 39, 5'11" and and yet still be sold as a "prospect" at his age Deontay Wilder-Olympic medal winner who continues to fight nobodies to pad a record that JCC Jr would have been proud of. Currently 17-0 (17) will next be facing Dominique Alexander (who was taken out in 20 seconds by Briggs and 133 seconds by Wlodarczyk and 175 by Solis)

Currently 17-0 (17) will next be facing Dominique Alexander (who was taken out in 20 seconds by Briggs and 133 seconds by Wlodarczyk and 175 by Solis) It was SO disappointing to see Wilder want to stay home and go with the Deas Brothers instead of relocating to work with a real outfit. He'll have a bottom-feeding career on the Southern Circuit, get a crack at someone he has no hope of defeating and get knocked out, and then fade from view. I DID LIKE that they brought in Mark Breland to Train him, but it's swimming upstream with nobody decent to work with in the gym and nobody decent to fight in Alabama. I'm not suggesting that if he his name wasn't Chavez that he'd have a losing record or anything stupid like that, but that he'd be a successful Telefutura fighter and not on HBO.
