WSMFC64
Conor Benn has failed a drugs test, throwing Saturday's blockbuster fight with Chris Eubank Jnr into disarray. Sportsmail can exclusively reveal the 26-year-old was notified he had returned an adverse finding for the banned substance clomifene. The substance, which is usually used to treat infertility in women but can increase testosterone in men, is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency. It is understood Benn's test was carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. 1
Cableaddict
It's also now come out that both Matchroom and the BBBC knew about the failed test back in August, but were trying to keep it under wraps. This was a strong rumor, and then K Sauerland publicly confirmed it. Lawyers are gonna' eat this one up!
Ledhed1
If it was the promoter, who does the promoter answer to? The Commission. But if the Commission's complicit, who do they answer to? (crickets) So the event falls through, reputations are besmirched and eventually it blows over. Someone at the Commission will claim not to have known and someone else will be sacked. Carry on.
LondonRingRules
--- What happens when gibbering monkeys run boxing. Gotta say though, women's infertility drug? I know general foodstuffs that we all eat may be suspect for this and that, but who other than infertile women would bother with this? Big $$$ fight ain't gonna shut down quietly, so hang on...
