fightfan
How high do you rate Khan compared to all of todays fighters?
RAZZ-MCFC
He beats everybody except Floyd and Manny. Well when i say that, i mean i think he beats anybody in the surrounding weight divisions apart from those 2. There are better fighters throughout the divisions though such as Martinez, Donaire etc. I don't like him at all either so there's no bias involved, but he is a fantastic boxer, great hand speed and a brilliant technical boxer. He does have his flaws though and regardless of what people say, his chin will always be a flaw, whether or not it's a factor remains to be seen. His footwork is also pretty crap, head movement isn't too good and his defence is very penetrable. Somebody like Floyd will prove that Khan is an ordinary fighter compared to him and will pick holes in Khan's defence all night. That is where Khan's lack of footwork and head movement will put him in trouble.
Dallen
Very highly as the kid has improved into a World class fighter, and has shown improvement everytime he fights.

Thatr's like saying Leonard proved Duran was an ordinary fighter - losing to someone with talent oozing from every pore is no reason to be ashamed. For me, Khan's speed, ability to put punches together and improved chin and defence make him a handful for any fighter in the world except the very very best like Mayweather and Pacquiao, who are probably faster than Khan. gavpowell
I know, I just mean the word ordinary seems incredibly unfair - Floyd makes everyone look 'ordinary' and will do the same to Pacquiao if they ever get in a ring, but I think Khan is an exceptional fighter and it would be like Marquez-Mayweather, you come away from it saying "Well, we know Marquez is talented, so all you can sy is Floyd is absolutely brilliant"
iamasadlittleboy
In a P4P ranking? or in the divisions he is likely to fight in? In a P4P basis he's well behind Floyd, Manny, Martinez, Donaire, Hopkins, Marquez and I'd stick him behind Narvaez, Ward, Nishioka, Gamboa and a fair few others personally. Him v Matthyse is a fight I genuinely like, then again stick Matthyse in there with anyone and it'd be fun.
gavpowell
Jesus, Gamboa v Khan - you'd have to watch that in slow motion to see any of the action.
Skav
I think Khan had blistering hand speed speed against Judah. It was the fastest I had ever seen him and I think against Mosley, Floyd had lost some hand and foot speed. Call me crazy but I think Khan is faster than Floyd at this stage. But in terms of reflexes, Floyd is probably still faster even if he was surprisingly caught cleanly in his last two bouts.
gavpowell
I must admit he looked quicker to me vs Judah too but I thought that was perhaps my imagination.
Siren1927
in 12 months time Khan Mayweather will be a 50/50 fight, it will all depend on if Khan can handle the pressure. At this stage ability wise he is a top 7 p4p fighter, his resume however only warrants borderline 9/
gavpowell
I think Mayweather has to decline substantially before he has a 50/50 fight with anyone - he came back from layoff for the Marquez fight and looked like he'd just left the ring from his previous. McBride
Obviously no one rates him as high as he does. The fool is now spouting he thinks Mayweather will duck him if a fight between them looks like materialising within the next year. Right oh Amir, just get your big fancy cars ready for the illuminated " TAXI " signs to go on their roofs, by the time he has finished with you. grapevine241
P4P id probably put him somewhere around 15-20 or so, off the top of my head
Joe Ko
Khan is in my top 20 P4P/ I do believe he has the fastest hands in boing along with Gamboa, Pacquiao and Mayweather are super fast but think Khan just has edge because of his age.

Personally i'd say Gamboa's got faster hands than Khan. There's probably a load of boxers that are under the radar that have faster hands as well, it's a near impossible thing to judge. Gary Russell Jr is one, i reckon he's got faster hand speed than Khan.

londoner
I'd put Khan in the top 10-15 in the World p4p. I thought about putting him in my top 10 last time i did a p4p list but i put him in at 11.
Wheelchair
Amir has shown an improved ability to take a punch as evidenced by the Maidana fight. A good technical boxer would run rings around Khan though, he's still to amateurish at times, and misses too many shots. I don't bother with P4P personally, it's just too subjective. #1 P4P and nothing more.

Floyd now wants Khan to fight one Jessie Vargas and then he'll get the fight with Floyd. Funny that considering there was heavy talk for the fight to happen before Khan sent Judah on to another planet.
McBride
You're not seriously going to claim that Amir suddenly becomes one of the best fighters in the world, based on beating Judah are you? Even you're not that daft.
RAZZ-MCFC
Why would Floyd be arsed? He beat a prime Judah, Khan didn't. There's no way he's scared of Khan, if anything Khan's shit scared of Floyd. We'll see what happens next year when they fight anyway, it's pretty much inevitable. gavpowell
I wouldn't have said Judah was in his prime when Floyd fought him, but I take the point.

Even you're not that daft. No, that wasn't my point. Try again Addressing RAZZ's post: Floyd didn't beat a prime Judah. He beat a Judah who was coming off a loss from the T-Rex himself, Carlos Baldomir. Prime Judah would be before Tszyu dismantled him. In fact the Mayweather vs Judah fight was around the time when Judah was getting undeserved upon undeserved title chances. _________________
