Best to avoid risking a catastrophic outcome and stick with the status quo. Let the woke culture do all the screaming they want. As for the notion that ANY organization within the boxing ecosystem stands for fair competition, that's laughable. Fighters from different weight classes - hello, Eubank vs Benn - are matched all the time so long as it's what the promoter wants, the smaller fighter agrees and everyone's making their money. The WBC on a high horse makes for a ludicrous sight but they're on the right side of this one. One serious injury and everyone will forget what assumption of risk means and sue all the stakeholders.
