90 Year Old King Outbids Warren for Trever Bryan vs Daniel Dubois This Saturday

Recommended Posts

There's every chance King leaves behind all the debts anyway for someone else to settle. Why not go out in a blaze of glory. But if it's a typical King arrangement he'll have options on the winner into perpetuity. But agree Dubois stays on track here for bigger and better things. Somehow King managed to finagle Bryan this far; his final gift to the industry.

Am expecting Daniel to obliterate Trevor Bryan. Trevor's chin is certainly going to get tested. As for King he probably will have options. He's got two Heavyweights on the undercard, expect the winner to be a future opponent of Daniel.

--- Former TBA Bryan challenger Guidry who gave Trevor all he could handle won NABA Gold over the undefeated titlest via KO.

Dub ran over Bryan like he was the nothing he always was, though credit Bryan for sorta making a losing effort. Obese Larry Holmes who used to be Tubby was brought in as a celebrity trainer to massage the blubber of Bryan to no avail.

Main thing is King outbid Warren to be better financially situated to take the loss on this promotion.

Not sure how Don was making money off this show? The venue (Casino Miami Jai Alai, Miami) was tiny. Looked like a Leisure centre or basketball hall. The camera panned out and plenty of empty seats. Maybe a few hundred there?

The UK commentary team seemed very bemused by the whole thing. Seemed like we were in the '80s. The ring was tiny, which didn't seem to favour Bryan, who was King's fighter.

Trevor Bryan looked frozen stiff in the first. Threw a little bit in the 2nd. Dubois hurt him a couple of times, Bryan swerved and ducked well. But, it was a matter of time. Sweet left to drop Bryan, the same punch had done damage 30 seconds earlier.

Woulda been nice if Bryan had bothered to get in some semblance of shape for this fight. If he couldn't take that consolation prize of a title seriously, why should we? But he's outta the way now and the division's all the better for it. Is Dubois ready for the winner of any of the following fights - Usyk-AJ II, Ruiz-Ortiz, Parker-Joyce? No. But perhaps the loser of either of the last two of those fights. A damaged goods Parker may be a good match at this stage for Dubois and still a notable enough name to get on his CV. Meantime keep mowing down opponents in the 10-20 range of the rankings and Dubois stays on course. If he and Joyce keep winning, Dubois earns his rematch. (Though I do like Parker vs Joyce but that's for another thread.)

I'd say 200 max. How embarrassing

- And the crowd showed basically zero emotion for the entire fight, including at the KO. I think King probably paid / blackmailed them all to be there.

And the size of that ring! No doubt, King put all his money on Dubois, while cashing out the hopeless Bryan.

Also gotta' give a shout out to the dubious one's impressive man tits! (did you see the weigh in?) What' he gonna' do when he faces a serious opponent and has to actually do PEDs testing?

- - I doubt seriously the serially obese Bryan has ever been equipped for a big ring as a runner/stinker.

A decent fight with the promotion being the stinker.
