The rematch this Sunday on BTSport. Who takes it and why?

The first fight took place in December 2020. During the pandemic, so no crowd.

Lyndon Arthur won via split decision. Judges scores: Michael Alexander 115-114, Ian John-Lewis 111-117, Marcus McDonnell 115-114.

Lyndon Arthur (19-0, 13 KOs) has since taken the undefeated record of Switzerland's Davide Faraci, via 9th round TKO.

Anthony Yarde (21-2, 20 KOs) smashed Colombian Alex Theran's body in one-round.

I've always maintained high hopes for Yarde, but that self-aggrandizing idiot Tunde Ajayi seems to be making him worse with every fight. And the addition to his team of James Cook didn't seem to help at all.

He looked like a total beginner vs Arthur. Even more clueless than when he lost to Kovalev. - And Arthur even had a rt-hand injury going into that fight.

Arthur will likely totally humiliate Yarde in the rematch, before taking his soul with a KTFO ending.

If Yarde is stupid enough to stay with his current team, then that's what he deserves. Moving on now ......

Hmm.

I just watched a few of Arthur's past fights. He's really quite good, but his biggest flaw is that he often leaves his long body unprotected. - especially when he tries to throw a hook from too far out, which he does a lot.

Yarde is a fantastic body puncher, with that "no looking" low hook, though you'd never know this from his fight with Arthur. (The stupidity of his corner is near legendary at this point.)

If Yarde chooses to stay close, and concentrates on the body, I think he has a good chance.

- but don't bet on it.

Yarde with a great knockdown but sketchy KO by the ref, all in rd 4. Arthur up at 9 while the ref still counting, I mean really!!!

Been a host of sketchy officiating of late starting in NYC title fights last week when Ogawa KDs the worthless Fuzile 3x and otherwise beats him up yet only wins by split decision. Then Kambo beats up Teo in Teo's hometown so bad the fans are cheering for Kambo, yet the officials could only offer another weak split decision.

That card may have set a new record for number of early stoppages in one event.

Still, credit to Yarde. Early body work, followed by a surprising work rate. Arthur seemed clueless.

A more cynical man might say that it looked like Arthur was paid to lie down. But not me, on no......
