Lubin vs Rosario - Jermell's leftovers gave us a good one!

A great fight for true fans, with both fighters showing excellent defense and ring smarts.

 

Lubin seemed a bit stronger, and definitely a bit more aggressive, but it was close enough to be really entertaining. A lot better than most of the garbage they’ve been feeding us lately. (I’m talking to YOU, Eddie!)

 

Rosario not really throwing enough. Maybe he’s getting old. He kept waiting for a chance to throw that big right, but Lubin was always going to counter with his rt hook, so Rosario needed to be throwing lots of other punches.

 

As for that “controversial” ending - Is it really so much to ask for commentators that actually know the rules of boxing? Rosario never went down. Both of his knees were off the canvass, and his butt was resting on the back of his raised shoe.

(Not to mention that it wasn’t a head shot that ended the fight.)

Lubin seems to have completely gotten rid of his bad habit of sometimes hanging his head after throwing from a bad position. - A defect that cost him dearly when he fought Jermell in 2017.

He seems a complete fighter now, still agressive but much more careful and controlled A rematch with Charlo should be interesting.
