Was very impressive, albeit against a lower-level opponent, but the way he knocked out that guy Lartey was reminiscent of Lennox Lewis' knockout of Hasim Rahman. I think he might be the next big thing to come from UK. He's 6'5, yet isn't overly muscled like Dubois and so probably has good conditioning too. He got some serious handspeed and that's also why he was able to pull of such a quick ko. Lartey is a strong, tough guy. So: handspeed, quick ko power and big, but not too heavy. Sounds perfect.

Wardley looks awfully good. Amazingly fast & athletic for a 6'5" guy. He moves like a top MW.

There isn't too much of him online, sadly, but I like his feints & other moves. Good ring generalship.

 

I think he'd do well, though, to expend a little less energy. That's a LOT of movement if you have to go 12 rounds against an eleite opponent.

Guess they didn't see his last fight. He really is just what you said. If guided right, he can reach the top.

He's looked good recently. Has a patient style but has pop. Decent mover for a big man. An interesting addition to the UK mix.

Just seen some Sky Sports footage of interview with Wardley, says he's been sparring to instruction with AJ in readiness for Pulev. :thumb:

He looks good though he'll need to bring his chin down a bit and snap the jab rather than prod with it.
