Kov turned a huge payday to fight Yarde in Russia, golovkin won't come to terms yet and Callum Smith not the big fight DAZN wants just yet. Added intrigue was Canelo being seen on crutches, so are his bad knees acting up again after surgery? I'm personally saddened Kov did not take the career purse offered. Smith is far too dangerous. You can bet the farm that they will avoid him for as long as possible. Canelo likes to pretend he'll fight anyone, but really it's mostly guys who've come from lower weights, or guys way past their primes. (And as long as the Gingican can stay on his feet for 12 rounds, we all know how the cards will go.) Smith would take Canelo apart from distance, and they know it.
