--- On my stupid iPhone, so the link shall have to suffice for now, but he talks of 3rd world difficulties larded westerners are unfamiliar with, like the typhoon that killed 10,000 and wiped out villages wholesale.

Very intimidating stuff for a 4th grade education speaking in a non native tongue to such a credentialed crowd...

Re: Senator Manny Speaks at Oxford

This isn't really boxing related is it? ;-)

Might start a thread on George Foreman grill sales :haha:

Fair play to Manny for standing and delivering a speech infront of those people though. I actually visited Oxford just the other month. A beautiful little city, with such heritage and history. It's all very grand and I imagine it really feels privileged to get to be educated in those unique and beautiful buildings.

My Uni life in Preston was mainly sacking off lecturers and meeting my mate in one of the on campus pubs and getting boozy! :haha:

--- Could be argued that he talks too much about his boxing accomplishments, but of course that just a ruse to show how poor he and other Filipinos grew up and how under certain circumstance they can rise above them, including the lack of education as he alludes to.

And of course the usual political platitudes thanking everyone including God:whistle:
