The_budweiser
[h=1]Billy Joe Saunders: World champion fined £100,000 for 'sickening' video[/h]British WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders has been fined £100,000 by the British Boxing Board of Control for a social media video that police described as "sickening". Saunders, 29, has apologised for the video, in which he tells a woman he will give her £150 worth of drugs to perform a sex act. The BBBofC found him guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute and issued a severe reprimand as well as the fine. The fine will go to a BBBofC charity. The charity will use it to assist ex-boxers and ex-licence holders who have fallen on hard times. selij
Re: Fair punishment? Fair? No. He can pay that out of small change. There's only one thing someone off the Hatfield travellers site would understand and thats a fucking good kicking.
gavpowell
Re: Fair punishment? Fair? No. He can pay that out of small change. Can he?? I wouldn't have thought he'd made much from boxing, given he spends most of his time not fighting.

Cableaddict
Re: Fair punishment? Can't stand the little shit, but this has nothing to do with boxing. The BBBofC should look in the mirror if it wants to start punishing bad behavior.
The_budweiser
Re: Fair punishment? I think what he did was wrong and he should be punished but when I saw the 100K fine, I thought: "that it was harsh". One thing it does do is send out a strong message to other boxers who fight under a British licence to represent there self and the BBBofC in a good light. I was expecting a 10K fine with 15K suspended for 2 years. A bit like a football fine.
WelshDevilRob
Re: Fair punishment? There's another video of him pretending to be a policeman and making a male driver strip naked. Horrendous. Glad the money is going to the BBBoC charity, which helps ex-boxers.

There's only one thing someone off the Hatfield travellers site would understand and thats a fucking good kicking. The annoying thing is, in the ring, he's pretty good at running away and circling to a points victory, so I don't see a good hiding happening to the scrote anytime soon. The other downside to him getting a beating in the ring is he is still actually making a boat load of money in doing so. It's not exactly a win win scenario
