Respect to this guy as he made it. However, I don't see how Mayweathers keeps getting brought up. Chavez sr. almost made it to 90-0 before losing. I think that is a more significant achievement.

I'm not sure why anyone gets excited over things like this if you don't take opposition level into the account. Moonsri is a great champ, but he was already 35-0 when he fought for the WBC title for the first time and clearly his opponents were B-level at best up to this time. For example, the other current minimumweight champ from Thailand Thammanoon Niyomtrong was just 9-0 when he won the WBA title (interim, but won the regular one later), has a lot of defenses now and I have no reasons to think he's worse than Moonsri just because he's 18-0 vs 35-0 at the moment.

I would love to see Wanheng Menayothin fight Knockout CP Freshmart but im told (by our Asian correspondent) its very unlikely to happen.

It was shocking how long there was no championship fight between Pinoy fighters until Ancajas v Sultan, so it's probably the same in Thailand that it's uncommon to put two "profitable" fighters against each other. Nawaphon Kaikanha v Amnat Ruenroeng from the last year was an unusual contest between two Thai top fighters. I think that just defending your belt probably brings enough profit there, so such bouts are unnecessary financial risk for the promoters. It worked the same way in Germany in 90s/00s with fighters like Ottke, Maske or Michalczewski who made countless defences of their belt (often against weak opposition) still bringing viewership. In USA it's different. If you're at the top and still defend against contenders out of no-where, you're prone to losing your TV deal and eventually need to unify the belts or change the division. Still you can have some exception, for example Bob Arum can put some weak-ass contenders against his fighters. Take Gilberto Ramirez for example.
