Tyron Zeuge v Rocky Fielding this Saturday

Quite 50/50 fight, isn't it? Both fighters still don't have that "stand-out" victory. Fielding was surely among top British prospects, but kind of fell off of radar after devastating loss against Callum Smith. I didn't like his performance against Rebrasse, either. He's made a nice comeback with this 1st round victory over David Brophy. Zeuge has some wins against gatekeepers like Sjekloca, De Carolis or Paul Smith, but it's still not that level to consider him a big favorite. Do you think that we can see a new WBA World super middleweight champ this Saturday? Edited by LondonRingRules

Re: Tyron Zeuge v Rocky Fielding this Saturday

I like Zeuge, but has he ever fought outside of Germany?

He has that Golovkin / Kovalev thing going on. - He doesn't head slip as well as those two, but he's still VERY good at staying in the pocket and trading, without taking much damage. Fast hands, tremendous footwork.

What's odd is that he looks to me to have very solid power, and yet his record indicates otherwise. Maybe he doesn't have the reflexes to take advantage of every mistake his opponents make? Although then, what's the point of fighting like Golovkin?

His BIG weakness: Way too open to body shots.

This is a really good matchup, though probably a bit meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Definitely "WBA" level.

He does indeed have some power but I guess he's the "if you happen to catch them, good, but don't go for the knockout" type. Maybe that is why he has too few ko's?

Neither of these is World champion material. If the occasion doesn't get to him, then I see Fielding lasting the course but losing a decision. WBA hand these belts out like sweets.

WBA are crazy, this belt equals the WBC inter-continental asia pacific belt, it means absolutely nothing, doesn't even make the winner mando, crazy stuff

Rocky Fielding fully exposed Zeuge tonight. Nothing than ocassional flury in this guy's arsenal. First two rounds looked kind of dull, could've gone Zeuge's way. In round 3 Fielding started to land those little counters on Zeuge and totally outboxed him in next two, prompting the corner stoppage. Entertaining performance from Fielding. I liked the fact how hard he attacked as soon as he smelled the blood, instead of toying with the opponent.

Even in defeat Zeuge was winging some heavy punches to try to push Fielding back, to no avail. Nothing could land cleanly. Wouldn't be surprised if Tyron broke his jaw, looked swollen with his mouth open the last couple rounds.

Lets get this into perspective lads - neither of them are worth a wank in a dirty sock. If Zeuge had been in sorts Fielding would have been stopped though. Repsac could be correct with the damaged jaw theory - he was open mouthed and breathing very heavily for most of the fight. And Z was carrying a bit of water too. Muscles looked very smoothed out. Could have had a bad rehydration regime after the weigh-in.
