C'mon, now. AJ may want this fight, but there's no way Hearn wants it to happen for at least another year. Hard to say what Haymon is thinking, but we know he hates taking any chances. I think he does - there's a squillion quid for the Wilder fight whenever it happens, there's a rematch clause in case he wins, Povetkin is still gonna be the mandatory, Fury will in theory be somewhere near sharp by then, and worst-case scenario, Joshua can have a homecoming fight against Bellew, Price, any other buffoon of choice, and sell out a stadium. Hearn can't lose either way.

Hearn can't lose either way. Well, there IS always the lucrative trilogy. - But odds are that right now, Wilder would win the first two fights, blowing that out of the water. AJ is still improving. Hearn knows this. If he can stall for at least another year, things will go much more his way. Plus, AJ can make almost as much money fighting more no-hopers, the British fans are that disillusional. And yes, I realize that "disillusional" is not actually a word.
gavpowell
Re: Wilder accepts Joshua's UK offer? It's good that you've clambered back onto the Wilder bandwagon - he probably needed you after being lucky to survive against the 100-year-old Cuban. Ton
Re: Wilder accepts Joshua's UK offer? but we know he hates taking any chances. What are the "chances" here?? AJ vs Wilder = $$$$$$$ for everyone.

Back to backing Wilder relentlessly on this one then? :haha:

Plus, AJ can make almost as much money fighting more no-hopers Which is exactly why the fight can go ahead - one loss, two losses, makes no difference.
