BoztheMadman
And is he dependant on Ann Wolfe? It seems each time he fought without her, or every big fight he fought without her, he failed, miserably. He got koed in 1 round by a fighter who was never a ko artist. And of course, in his last fight he was easily "offed" by Canelo, in 3 rounds-and Canelo doesn't normally dismantle quality fighters that fast. So, is he damaged goods? At 32, he should not be shot yet, but he just might be.

boxeador
Re: Is Kirkland damaged goods? It might sound like a joke, but he has, anatomically a great head. And he goes with it at front. So, he is an easy target for any top fighter. He has not so much punching power too. He knocked most of his opponents by flurries. At the end, i wonder why this thread?. I have not seen any upcoming fight for James Kirkland. I wish him the best. He is a warrior and he should be preparing for a fight instead getting bored. We all know what he used to do so. Because I was thinking of him. He still isn't that old, despite getting wasted badly twice. He may come back...but is there a point in that? creed
Re: Is Kirkland damaged goods? As a pressure fighter you need a tight defense and a solid chin, Kirkland has neither.
WelshDevilRob
Re: Is Kirkland damaged goods? Seems to be a part-time fighter now. Not fought since the Alvarez fight and was inactive before that fight. Could still be involved in some explosive fights but doesn't seem like he will. Javier Ortega Nieto
Re: Is Kirkland damaged goods? I think his main problem is inactivity, not fight regularly and when he does face a guy like Canelo coming to conquer the world. I do not know if I should retire but certainly if he fights every two years is best to stay quietly at home.

Zute
Re: Is Kirkland damaged goods? He has to do quite a lot before he can be considered a serious contender at this point. Very hittable, always has been. Matched with the right fighters though he can string a few wins together IMO
