Car crash means Porter vs Thurman is off

Undefeated world champion Keith Thurman sustained an injury as a result of a car accident that has forced his March 12 welterweight title defense against Shawn Porter to be postponed.

The announcement was made today by promoter Lou DiBella, president of DiBella Entertainment.

 

According to his doctors, Thurman’s injuries are not considered serious and he is expected to be cleared to resume training in the coming weeks.

Everyone is talking about this, that's not why I want to talk about it actually... Myself can't really wait for him to get back in the ring, we'll miss those punches, for a little while.

I'm really sick of runtime Thurman, the hype (some of which was from me before he "broke through") is over the top. The guy has been facing B tier guys for years whilst some are talking about him as something special.

 

Also if the air bag hurt him more than that Collazo body shot or when he was wobbled by...JSK?...then that tells you he knows he's not been facing punchers for a good reason

The fight has been rescheduled for June 25th, so Thurman's injury couldn't have been very serious.

 

Can't wait to se him back in action, and Porter is practically a dream opponent.
