Dmitry Pirog comeback?

The former WBO World middleweight holder (2010-2012), who beat Daniel Jacobs, Javier Francisco Maciel, Gennady Martirosyan and, in his last fight, Nobuhiro Ishida is rumoured to be making a return in 2016.

The Russian is 35-years-old and once seemed destined to a fight with Gennady Golovkin. Injuries forced him to retire in 2012

Not sure how valid the story is but has been posted in a few articles but seems to be based on a fake Twitter account?

Anyone know anything of a return or Pirog's plans?

Re: Dmitry Pirog comeback?

Rob such a shame about his back injuries,he has tried to come back since 2012.Persistent issues, even if he does try to return injuries reoccurring with regards long term back problems never far away sadly.

The Golovkin fight was going to happen and anyone that hasn't seen it the Jacobs fight worth a look.

Pirog a real talent lost to injury.
