JC Gomez out of Prizefighter

 

 

Heavyweight contender Juan Carlos Gomez has been forced to withdraw from Saturday’s Prizefighter International Heavyweights tournament in London due to visa issues. He will be be replaced by Lucian Bot. It was also announced that Kerston ‘Warrior’ Manswell will replace Fres Oquendo.

Quarter-final one: Mike Perez vs Kerston Manswell

Quarter-final two: Kevin Johnson vs Gregory Tony

Quarter-final three: Michael Sprott vs Tye Fields

Quarter-final four: Lucian Bot vs Konstantin Airich

 

 

 

Yet another of the bigger names in the tourney withdraws.

It's gone from an awesome Prizefighter to a very decent one in the space of a couple of days... :(

 

I fancied Gomez to win it personally, but the favourite would have to be Perez now imo.

Also, I thought Gomez had a German Visa?!? He would have no trouble making it into the UK?

Juan Carlos Gomez pulling out has put a bit of a dampener on the event but it should still be an entertaining night of boxing. I was going with Mike Perez to win all along and now i think he'll have even more chance of winning especially considering his first fight was meant to be against Fres Oquendo who has also pulled out.
