ucgdcxw
No way should Khan give Prescott the rematch. Even though Khan will want to set the record straight this is all wrong for him syle wise. Amir still tends to stand straight up and does not roll under the punches, like Kevin Mitchell did against Prescott. Prescott throws long winging punches, just like Maidana, and Amir is still vulnerable to these shots. A true champion would do the rematch but I think we might get a repeat of the first fight. I agree, I cant see how Khan could go 12 rounds without getting caught at some point by prescott again for the exact reasons you said. Khans defence is very poor when hes in range
davemurphy
I agree with Khan avoiding it, it kind of falls on Prescott to make the case for a rematch since Khan has moved on and won a World Title while Prescott had the back to back losses to Miguel Vazquez and Kevin Mitchell (both are pretty damn good and there should be no shame, but they were losses). Beating Jargal kept hopes alive, but to be honest Prescott needed to really put on a show, and by letting the limited Jargal last the distance, he didn't make the Statement that he needed to. Golden Boy aren't idiots, if nobody is clamoring for this fight then they sure as hell aren't going to navigate that way over more lucrative (and perhaps less riskier) matchups. londoner
I think style-wise it isn't good for Khan but challenge-wise it's a great bout. Fans would love to see it IMO. However, i'd rather see Prescott step up and clash with some bangers like Michael Katsidis or Brandon Rios rather than chase Amir Khan. Prescott is a big hitter and could be in some exciting fights at 135 or 140.
