WelshDevilRob
Leapai ready for the Klitschkos and Haye Photo and report by Ray Wheatley–World of Boxing http://fightnews.com/Boxing/20110419lepai001.jpg WBO #14 heavyweight Alex Leapai (23-3-3, 18 KOs) scored an impressive three round KO over former world heavyweight challenger Peter OkHello (20-6, 18 KOs) to capture the IBF Australian title in Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday. Leapai has defeated several good Americans including Travis Walker in four rounds and Owen Beck in six rounds. “Peter OkHello went the distance in a WBC heavyweight title bout against Oleg Maskaev but I took him out in three rounds,” said Leapai. “Former heavyweight contender Sinan Samil Sam also had to go twelve rounds to beat OkHello.” Leapai concluded, “I am not a big heavyweight but I have the KO power in both hands to beat the best in the world and that includes David Haye and the Klitschko’s.” Leapai is trained and managed by Noel Thornberry who also guided Samoan Masilino Masoe to the WBA middleweight crown. Crusader
I have almost every match of Leapai, is certainly powerful but not too orthodox in hitting and often it turns out, plus the fact that it is heavy small (1.83) I do not think he can with Ukranian brothers
londoner
He looks like a very poor man's David Tua. Another Australian to keep an eye on is Mark de Mori but he lost in the first round to a journeyman who had a record of 15-19-4.
