edsel77x
By Rey Colón -The Sport Press A contractually obligated rematch between WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido and ex-champ Juan Manuel Lopez may be held in August instead of November or December as originally stated by promoter Bob Arum. Salido, who stopped Lopez on Saturday night in a monumental upset, had hoped to make a defense in July in Sonora, Mexico, but apparently the people of Lopez are pushing for a rematch to take place as soon as possible. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/lopez-salido-rematch-in-august-81982
davemurphy
I hate to see them pushing for the Rematch so soon, if only because that indicates to me that they think it a "fluke" and aren't going to attempt to address any of the flaws in Juanma that helped lead to the defeat (IMO). edsel77x
Maybe they feel that it was an off night and he prob was not taking his opponent serious. I feel he got way complacent as he built up the 30 (27) - 0 record.
iamasadlittleboy
He kept getting tagged by that right hand, unless he finds an answer to it the same will happen again.

Also, Arum has a smaller window of opportunity to work with so he thinks to rush the rematch and put his money match on. Thing is, he already ruined it. Collateral Damage, too late It would have been great to hear Buffer say, "Somebodies "O" has got to go"!
edsel77x
I thought Lopez was sound technically but Salido really exposed him. How hard is it to block what appeared to be a looping overhand right? I need to see the Gamboa fight again and compare he fought him.
