WelshDevilRob
Has Carl Froch left Hennessey? Saw comments by some on FB earlier. Is this true? If, so who is promoting him?
Brick Top
Looks that way mate http://www.livefight.com/news.php?news_id=1399&y=2011&m=
Siren1927
About time, hopefully he can get 2/3 decent paydays after the super six to make up for the last four years
davemurphy
Yeah, when I was watching the Fight Camp 360's, Froch was spending all that time talking about how Sauerland and others had "lied to Mick" and promised things that they didn't deliver on and the whole time I was wondering if the stories he was getting from Hennessy weren't the problem all along. Clearly he must now think so, why else would he be leaving him?
gavpowell
I feel sad he's leaving Hennessy but Mick seems to have lost his way a bit recently, missing out on TV deals, falling down in negotiating deals for his fighters etc. I just hope Froch doesn't sign with Warren. If he doesn't sign with Warren, where can he go? You figure he will want to keep operating out of the UK (I would think), so what options would there be? Someone like Hatton, maybe? Who's taking care of preparations for Glen Johnson, that's not exactly a Sure Thing Fight (especially given the way Upsets seem to be falling from the sky at the moment grin// )
gavpowell
He could form his own company, sign with Hatton, Robert Waterman(assuming he's still going), Matchroom, anyone but Warren!
Siren1927
I heard a rumour he has signed with Dibella 100% rumour btw

WelshDevilRob
Maybe not getting the Johnson fight to Nottingham was the final straw. Maybe Froch wondered why Mick was getting paid when its seems that it is Showtime chosing the venues and basically acting as the promoter. londoner
I agree he shouldn't join Warren as i always tend to think Warren is good at getting a guy's name out there but then does nothing for him once he's made a name for himself. He's good for the first half of a boxer's career and dreadful in the 2nd half. Matchroom might be his best choice as Barry Hearn seems to be on a roll right now. Or how about an American promoter? Golden Boy maybe? Would they even be interested in him?
littleman370
why not golden boy? GBP is clearly looking to set up shop in the UK, and froch has a good enough following to put on compelling fights with animated crowds. the promotional power of GBP plus his fan friendly style and good current following might lead to some great paydays and fun fights for froch. i'd LOVE to see froch wet his feet at 175 whatever happens with the S6 and take a rematch with Pascal, or a Hopkins fight should he win. Brick Top
He's held talks with matchroom. Looks like they're trying to make waves on the boxing scene
Siren1927
well they have a TV deal. According to something I read the other day Barry Hearn has 17.5% of all shows on sky sports
