gavpowell
Berto for me - the bigger, faster guy with a decent punch on him. Ortiz will be gone before the 8th.
grapevine241
id have to go with berto, hes too fast. but i think the fight is competitive and wouldnt be completely shocked to see ortiz make it close.
iamasadlittleboy
Berto with ease, Stoppage around 6-9m too fast, too good, too strong mentally and physically.
Andre00
Ortiz is damaged goods!!! Dude has no heart!! Berto is hungry will come at him like a hungry bear RAWRRRRR!!!!
Joe Ko
Ortiz on points, Berto is actually smaller than Ortiz. I think Ortiz despite the Maidana loss, is still Berto's biggest challenge yet, I think Berto struggles and Ortiz pulls it off ina boring points decision
battlingsiki
This is a great match up and one that will delight the fans. I got Berto in a war of attrition. Berto via late stoppage or points. Berto's speed the key but he will get roughed up!
Crusader
Andre 'Clarence Seedorf' Berto for me, is to best fighter than Ortiz, knows the art of defense and know when to sink shots, Ortiz could not get to hear the last gong
Siren1927
This is a great match up and one that will delight the fans.! Do you work for HBO ?
dulais_valley
This is a great match up and one that will delight the fans. Really?! I won't argue that it will make decent viewing, I'm sure it probably will. But a great match up!? This is a world title fight we are talking about and yet again Berto has been handed a very very soft defence. What is it about Ortiz that makes you think he is worthy of a title shot at welterweight? That is what this is and therefore defines the quality of the matchup. Ortiz comes into this having practically fallen apart against Peterson at a lower weight and being stopped by Maidana. He still doesn't have a defining win with those coming between his reversal and draw all coming against limited or washed up competitors. He'd be lucky to get a shot a LW let alone at welterweight. At a point when Berto really should be stepping up and fighting the best in the division he is taking a step backwards with this fight. Skav
Ortiz on points, Berto is actually smaller than Ortiz. I think Ortiz despite the Maidana loss, is still Berto's biggest challenge yet, I think Berto struggles and Ortiz pulls it off ina boring points decision Yes, I've found that people saying Ortiz being the smaller guy is a bit puzzling. I've always heard Ortiz actually is bigger. In fact, I've heard that Ortiz has contemplated moving up. Anyway, stylistically, this is a good match for the first 5 rounds. Ortiz has a shot in the first five, if it goes longer then Berto wins because Ortiz fades down the stretch as evidenced in his fights with Maidana and Peterson. He needs to blow Berto away before he runs out of ideas like he did against Peterson and gets schooled. Ortiz doesn't deserve this shot at all, though. But it wouldn't surprise me to see him pull it off, either!
WelshDevilRob
Bert is a small Welterweight so I don't think size will play a part.
iamasadlittleboy
Berto is what, an inch shorter than than The Pussycat? he's been taking Weltetweight shots and holds the best win (as controversial as it was) Ortiz just has nothing, he's being used as a sacrificial lamb by HBO. WelshDevilRob
Think this could be a FOTY candidate. Think the styles will mix well.
grapevine241
from Twitter @danrafaelespn Berto's purse is about $1.3 million, Ortiz gets about $400,000ish. lol

WelshDevilRob
round 7 either way but a good round. Round 8 quiter and pace slowed - gave it to Berto.
WelshDevilRob
Ortiz deducted a point in the 10th for hitting behind the head - seemed harsh. But he won the round so 10-10.

WelshDevilRob
Round 11 to ortiz. He looks much stronger and Berto looked hurt again in the round. Berto needs a Ko to win.
WelshDevilRob
Victor Ortiz 12th - scrappy round but he was more determined. Lederman has 115 to 110 to Ortiz. Its Ortiz fight IMO. Great performance.
