WelshDevilRob
Nigel Benn's still got it! 51 or 52 and looks in tremendous shape. Hopefully, a comeback isn't on the cards.
gavpowell
Re: Nigel Benn's Still Got it! Last I heard, Benn had found religion and was disposing of all his boxing memorabilia as it was something he wanted to consign to history. Not sure he'd fancy a comeback, but I'd lay odds that if he did, Chris Eubank would come back the same afternoon!

Maybe, he's been promised a WBA ranking and a shot at Eubank Jr's interim belt :)

Has Nigel got a son that's old enough? Heh...think not. I seen him hold his baby daughter in that 2007 doc about him facing McClellan again. Hopefully, a comeback isn't on the cards. --- I wouldn't want to tangle with him in or out of the ring for sure, but did he injure his left leg? Calf muscle is considerably smaller than the right, not a normal situation.
The_budweiser
Re: Nigel Benn's Still Got it! Looks in fantastic shape. If I remember properly, the reason Benn is at Hatton's gym is because he wants Hatton to train his son. His son -

The_budweiser
Re: Nigel Benn's Still Got it! 18 years old. Some more info here Boz - Nigel Benn has revealed Ricky Hatton may train his son Conor ahead of the teenager’s bid to compete in next year’s Olympics in Brazil. Benn Senior, who currently lives in Australia, flew over to the UK to attend friend and former opponent Michael Watson’s 50th birthday celebrations. It was great fun,” Benn told hattonboxing.com afterwards. “I’ve been doing a couple of rounds with the living legend; I’ve always thought that Ricky was top draw.“ I’ve come down here to work out and not only that but I’ve really come to see how he is for my son.” The 18-year-old hopes to compete next summer in Rio before turning professional and Benn believes his son could learn from fellow former two-weight champion Hatton. “In Australia boxing is not that big, if I could bring him down here and work out with Ricky, he could be his trainer or whatever,” added Benn. “There are other trainers but I like what Ricky is about because Conor not just a fighter but he’s great boxer. “I don’t just want Ricky to teach him how to fight because it’s in the genes as Chris Eubank would say ‘it’s in the DNA’ and definitely Conor has my DNA, “But he has something a little bit more special than me and I think if he comes here he will learn and spar with all the great fighters here and learn his trade really well. Benn, who kicked off his career with 22 straight knockout wins and went on to win world titles at middleweight and super middleweight, believes Conor has already surpassed the level he was when he was his son’s age. “He’s something,” insisted Benn. “In Australia he’s already beaten the Australian No 1 and lost to him again, but here there are multiple fighters that will give him a run for his money and show him the ticks of the trade. “I think he find it all here with Ricky and then find out how good he really is.” Source: Sky Sports
selij
Re: Nigel Benn's Still Got it! Benn naively financed some major deals (shall we say) for some very naughty boys in London and had his pants pulled right down, that's why he's in Australia. Play with fire and you will get burnt.
