Koncz: ‘Mayweather turned down $50m to fight Pacquiao’

Manny Pacquiao’s advisor Michael Koncz has revealed that Floyd Mayweather turned down $50m to fight the Pac Man.

The news comes only weeks after Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum confirmed that discreet talks with the Mayweather camp, through fellow promoter Don King, fell through when Mayweather demanded a $100m purse.

Now in a chat with ABS-CBNnews.com, Koncz announced that the flamboyant boxer turned down the biggest payday of his career with a $50m proposal on the table.

‘A country that I won't name offered us $100m to bring the Mayweather fight there, so we, in turn, offered $50m to Mayweather as a guarantee,’ said Koncz.

‘If the pay-per-view comes in higher, Manny and Mayweather would make more. He refused the $50m… It means he doesn't want to fight Manny at this point in his career. Very simple.’

well, even money may turns down a $100m offer to fight pacquaio, its no new story.. everybody in the boxing world, except the mayweather lovers, knows that the floydster got his panties filled with stinky brown stuff when it comes to fight pacquaio...sure both sides know how to trashtalk and defame each other, its a story going on for years now,but the thing is that wayweather simply doesnt want to fight pacquiao and as long its just some new old trashtalk, and no real achievment to get to the point and making the fight happen,it doesnt get my interest.. both camp can say what they want, the only chance to get things clear is making the fight happen...
