Bogotazo
Hey guys. I wanted to share this video I made with the forum and hopefully get some good discussion out of it. It focuses on the different stylistic strengths and weaknesses of each fighter, their footwork against opposite-stance fighters, and the specific combinations and counters they might attempt come May 2nd. It's not the best edit job but hopefully there are enough ideas in there to get people thinking and talking. (Mods, if this belongs somewhere else, sorry!) LondonRingRules
Re: "Mayweather VS Pacquiao: A Technical Summary" Hey guys. I wanted to share this video I made with the forum and hopefully get some good discussion out of it. --- I don't watch play videos to discuss boxing. Manny has always been the hungrier, better offensive boxer and the spectacular big stadium type fighter, Floydy the propped up cagier, defensive fighter in his climate control home environs of MGM Floydy for 9 straight years now. Manny has much better performances against their common opponents and fought better versions than the ones Floydy fought. Floydy on paper has all the suits and boxing officials working out of his corner. We'll see about all that as boxing is the ultimate gaming sport and early results show most money being put on Manny in spite of Floydy being the nominal favorite by the bookies. MGM Floyd and Vegas in general is ground zero for the dumbest and/or officiating in boxing going back a ways now. Every other week they have a horrible, controversial result. Manny and Roach always wanted the fight and Floydy Sr put it in Junior's noggin that Manny was too dangerous to fight, and now thanks to his bosses, here Floydy is against his worst nightmare come true. Finally, Manny has had better prep with recent performances against quick, awkward, rangier, boxer types whereas Floydy has looked weak in the legs against Maidana who Bronerized him in advance. That said, this is MGM Floydy/Vegas boxing and chances are the results are highly controversial and their both past their primes age wise with Manny really only being a part time fighter now in between his Congressional duties, movies, singing, coaching and playing pro basketball not to mention his duties as a husband and father. So this fight has all the impetus of the rubber between SRLeonard and Duran where Leonard ran like a thief in the night to cop a dubious decision against a fighter with over 90 fights on his odometer. Maybe the fight turns out good if Floydy is forced into fighting by the ref, but it doesn't matter at this point. It's only about the money for boxing's spare trickle down economy. You don't ever refer to footage detailing the attributes and strategies of a fighter, but instead rely on triangle theory and inferences from extra curricular activities and parenting skills? Okay then.

Okay then. --- Indeed, extracurricular activities in a career and esp in training camp usually have a detrimental effect. I've seen and studied all the actual fights, skills, and careers exhibited by the fighters, so I'll ring that gonghttp://www.factmonster.com/images/equilateral.gif and refer you back to my condensed breakdown above which reflects the well earned views of a boxing cynic. My reaction to the announcement here with an upcoming fight preview being prepped for the week of the fight if you want any more. https://roberto00.wordpress.com/2015/02/28/boxing-dies-on-vine-gushes-greed-over-pacquiao-vs-mayweather/

Yeah, all those easy fights with Marquez, eh? Manny and Roach always wanted the fight Shoulda signed the contract back when it included unannounced blood tests then. You know, like it does now? Manny may be a congressman but his duties are scant, and his "careers" as a pop star and basketball player are like Floyd's careers as a promoter and investor - something he does to pass the time and spend some of his enormous wealth. Why haven't you posted before? What qualifications do I need to post a video on a boxing forum? I've been on boards for years, just not this one. I wanted to branch out and get different ideas from different people.

I've been on boards for years, just not this one. I wanted to branch out and get different ideas from different people. --- Desire is the only qualification. The only video I'm interested in is real fight video, but many seem to think they have all the answers by programming their fight games which may be silly, but it's what they do, games. A real fight is just that...errrrr.....unless it's a Floydy canned fight at MGM Floydy with his buddies Bayless, Moretti, and Clements running interference for him...we'll see soon enough about all of that!
