BoztheMadman
Thomas "Tommy Gun" Oosthuizen (24-0-2) of South Africa is fighting Roberto Feliciano Bolonti (35-3), the Argentinian gatekeeper, in his first defense of the IBO title he won against Ryno Liebenberg in March, on 6th June. The 6'4 Oosthuizen is taking on the 5'11 Bolonti in his home ground in Kempton Park, South Africa. Bolonti lost in a fight for the WBO title against Juergen Braehmer last year. This is his attempt to climb back onto world rankings and earn another REAL TITLE shot. Edited April 18, 2015 by BoztheMadman

QBoxing
Re: Oosthuizen fighting Bolonti in his first defense of IBO lhw title Yes, exactly what he said. ^ Oosthuizen seems to be focusing on his career some more and has won two bouts since his so-called return. I think he gets the job done against Bolonti. The Argentine has little to offer on the offense, but might shell up long enough to take the South African twelve rounds. I still wouldn't rule out the fight ending inside the distance, so I guess that is what Oosthuizen should be aiming for with a high volume of punches in the mid-late rounds. Whether that victory would mean anything, or if Oosthuizen's 175-lb run will amount to anything... that's an entirely different question... BoztheMadman
Re: Oosthuizen fighting Bolonti in his first defense of IBO lhw title Yeah well...before this he stopped Grachev, that was his first fight at 175. And then he split decisioned Ryno Liebenberg, who was stopped by Eleider Alvarez...that doesn't look good on paper but Liebenberg was stopped due to a cut in that fight. Oosthuizen is very tall and lanky, such fighters are rarely good infighters or the destroyer types, they focus on picking apart their opponents from the distance. We'll see. I'd like to see him against someone like Alvarez after and if he beats Bolonti. I am positive that he will.
