WelshDevilRob
Senchenko to defend WBA belt Sources from the Ukraine have confirmed that WBA welterweight champion Viacheslav Senchenko of the Ukraine will make his next defense of his title August 20 vs Marco Antonio Avendano (30-7-1, 22 KOs) of Venezuela. The bout will take place in the champion’s place of residence in Donetsk, Ukraine. ------------------------------ I believe the opponent is 37. Senchenko really looking to set the World alight. edsel77x
Ranked #11 Marco Antonio Avendano. Still could he be a more credible opponent???
WelshDevilRob
Ranked #11 Marco Antonio Avendano. Still could he be a more credible opponent??? I think Frank Warren should be pulling out all the stops to get Kell Brook a shot at this title. Brook is mandatory for Manny's WBO but thats never going to happen. Brook should be aiming for Senchenko as I'm pretty sure he'll beat him.
Crusader
Yet another scandal, Senchenko is a year that has this belt, when we see a credible opponent ?

brooklynbrawler
Was it not an interim title for a long period there though? He's been content to sit back and take the easy route...and be gifted world titles for achieving very little. Now he's content to sit on it and avoid taking any risks, now that he is champ. Pretty poor, but it happens the world over. We'll never know how good the guy is until he fights someone half decent. It's merely a trinket until he proves otherwise imo. iamasadlittleboy
I'm more annoyed by the WBA also having M'Baye as a champion...
