Colón/PR Best Boxing In a rematch, WBO light flyweight champion Giovanni Segura (27-1-1, 23 KOs) again defeated former champion Ivan Calderon (34-2-1, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, Mexico. This time Segura knocked out Calderon in round three with a big shot to the body. Time was 1:39. Last August, Segura took Calderon’s unbeaten record and WBO belt with an eighth round KO on Calderon’s home turf. IBF featherweight eliminator, #7 rated Jorge Lacierva (38-7-6, 26 KOs) pounded out a twelve round unanimous decision over #13 Fernando “Wary” Beltran, Jr. (35-4-1, 19 KOs). Scores were 118-109, 119-109, 119-109. Flyweight Alonso Lopez (9-0-1, 3 KOs), son of Mexican ring legend Finto Lopez, outpointed Jorge Guerrero (5-5, 2 KOs) over six by scores of 59-55, 60-64, 60-55. Segura deserves to be ranked in the p4p rankings now i think. Two wins against Calderon, unbeaten in 8 bouts, World champion now moving up...
