Underwhelmed by Jermell Charlo.

While I'm a HUGE fan / supporter of Jermall Charlo, I have never been too impressed with his brother Jermell. Still, the kid has skills, athleticism, and a long reach, plus he's trained by Ronnie Sheilds, so I keep watching his fights, hoping to see some spark of true potential.

 

Sadly, Jermell seems to be getting more & more lackluster with each fight.

 

Last night, against the very game Vanes Martirosyan, Charlo positively put me to sleep. Vanes tried his best, but Charlo seemingly was content to jab & move all night, playing it absurdly safe & doing just enough to warrant the robbery decision he was given.

 

This kid has absolutely no warrior spirit at all. He's the Anti-Gatti. I'm so done with him it 'aint even funny.

Does anyone have a different opinion? Could it be more due to Ronnie Shields' style than Charlo's (seeming lack of) heart?

 

 

Also, what do you currently think of Jermall?
