In a clash of super-sized heavyweights, 6’7 Michael Grant (47-4, 35 KOs) scored an explosive third round one-punch knockout over 6’9 Tye Fields (45-3, 41 KOs) on Friday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Both fighters were rocked by big shots in round two. Grant leveled Fields with a monster right hand in round three. Time was 1:06.

Former two-division world champion Joel Casamayor (38-5-1, 22 KOs) took a close ten round split decision over late sub Manuel Leyva (20-2, 12 KOs). Casamayor dropped Leyva with a body shot in round five and went on to win by scores of 97-92, 96-93 on two cards. Leyva was up 95-94 on the third card.

Cruiserweight Aaron Williams (21-3-1, 14 KOs) annihilated Shane Steele (7-4, 5 KOs) in one brutal round. Referee Joe Cortez waved it off after two knockdowns. Time was 2:27.

Unheralded 294lb heavyweight Alvaro Morales (6-8-6, 0 KOs) ruined the pro debut of Olympian Razvan Cojanu, who represented Romania at the 2008 Beijing Games. Scores were 39-37, 39-37, 38-38, adding up to a four round majority nod for Morales.

Well Done Grant, he could of easily bet Adamek and got a world shot but failed.

Good comeback win, would like to see him vs Tarver or Arreola next.

Edit: He was crying on interview, he fought Adamek just after back surgery, People dont like excuses but that performance by Grant was impressive, I hope he gets another shot.

Audley Harrison says he is negotiating two fights in the USA. Well, i think fights against the likes of Michael Grant or Tye Fields suits him perfectly. Harrison isn't going to beat any quality opponents and fights against Fields or Grant might actually be quite entertaining (in the current HW climate). I don't see Harrison beating either but would be good to see him lose and maybe eventually retire.
