WelshDevilRob
After a series of injuries, fight postponments and a couple of losses, former middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik leaves rehab a new man and ready to resume his boxing career. http://media.cleveland.com/plain-dealer/photo/8023055-large.jpg Vindy.com reporter Joe Scalzo writes how Pavlik, a Youngstown native, spent 60 days in the Ranch Recovery Center in Desert Hot Springs, Calif. Pavlik said his time in rehab gave him a chance to collect his thoughts and reorganize his life. “I was having too much fun, put it that way,” he said of his drinking. “I’ve been pro for 10 years now and I have a lot of things going on in my life and boxing’s not going to be there for the rest of my life. “It kind of got to the point where I said, ‘I’ve got to get organized now and start settling down and paying attention to what I have going on.’” Pavlik hopes to fight at super middleweight on the undercard of the Manny Pacquaio-Shane Mosley fight on May 7 in Las Vegas. Crusader
I hope to see him at the top, recovered from 'personal monkey' and ready for any middle and supermiddle fighters !!!

Skav
I was a fan. I don't think he was overhyped, just that he was outclassed by a veteran in Hopkins and Martinez is tricky for everybody. Styles also make fights.
Faulks
Just cant see him making an impact anymore
WelshDevilRob
If he gets a win or two under his belt, I'd quite like to see him matched with Lucian Bute. Bute has the 3 fight contract with Showtime and surely Pavlik is more worthy than the likes of Magee.
sugarboy
I hope to see him at the top, recovered from 'personal monkey' and ready for any middle and supermiddle fighters !!! goodp// Pavlik is one of the most exciting fighter who has ever seen on the ring! donlevy
I would love to see him fight someone like Andrade in future.Andrade is a credible opponent and it would be exciting as hell to watch Pavlik attempting to break the determined, durable Andrade down with constant power punches. grapevine241
they should go ahead and try to make pavlik-williams, both need a fight
WelshDevilRob
Pavlik against Andrade and Paul Williams would be compelling fights.
donlevy
I think Williams is going to stay well away from middleweight and above after what happened against Martinez.Probably a smart move after getting knockout like that.
Skav
I think Williams is going to stay well away from middleweight and above after what happened against Martinez.Probably a smart move after getting knockout like that. I think it would be a shame on his part if he does. They both swung wildly and it was just a matter of who connected first. I don't think weight was a factor. iamasadlittleboy
I think Williams needs a kick up the arse and needs to get back to 147. Plenty of folk there to fight, chase Berto or Zaveck. It'll get rid of one of the HBO "boys" demanding huge payments.
smokin
i cant see pavlik doing anything he is limited and for a time was hugely overrated
Johnny Walker
I wish Pavlik all the best. Just not certain he'll fare well at super middle, a division loaded with varying degrees of skill and talent. Also not sure of what Pavlik has left. I would like to see him move on to another trainer, Whatever happens I hope he is doing what is right for himself.
